Pork Chops in San Francisco Sauce

4 1-inch thick pork chops
1 clove garlic, minced
4 tablespoons sherry or broth
4 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 teaspoon oil
Dash red pepper sauce
2 tablespoons cold water
2 tablespoons cornstarch

    Brown chops. Remove from pan and add garlic. Cook just until soft. Add pork chops. Make sauce from sherry, soy sauce, brown sugar, oil and red pepper sauce. Pour over chops. Cover and let simmer for about 30 minutes, until chops are done. Remove chops from pan. Combine cornstarch and water and add to sauce. Cook until thickened. Serve with noodle, rice or couscous. Serves 4.

Mika ^_^ - These are the very first pork chops that I ever tried to make. And they even turned out pretty good, too! The only problem with these is that I like LOTS of sauce on my foods, and this didn't make too much. If you like your sauces, I'd recomend doubling everything but the meat. ;)
