Robert and Anna have been hiding out on Spoon Island, waiting until it was safe for their return. Stefan has just discovered their presence and is threatening to reveal this to both Robin (who will naturally feel betrayed at their allowing Mac to take all of her adolescent growing pains on his shoulders alone) and to Luke (who will feel equally betrayed that he has had to substitute underworld figure Sonny as his best friend, instead of upstanding Robert - former WSB agent and ex-Police Commissioner).
What nobody realizes is that, when Robert and Anna were reportedly blown up in that yacht in the Pacific or somewhere during their showdown with Faison, their death was faked to save their lives. They made a planned escape and, ever since, they have been under deep cover as WSB Agents (which they always were in the past). Their deep cover contact has always been Frisco. They cannot afford to alert ANYBODY in Port Charles, especially including Robin, Mac, Luke or the Quartermaines - or the police - because they are on the trail of an extremely slick, powerful mob boss.
Concerned about this threat, Robert & Anna contact the PICs in an effort to help them escape through downtown Port Charles to a new hideaway in the Catacombs. We say, fine -- we're getting to be old hands at this -- only we ask one thing of you both. We ask that you nab Brenda and Jax on the way.
What is also not known is that Jax is a WSB agent in "deep, deep" cover as a corporate raider. He is very successful at this and jets freely and openly around the world, which makes his lifestyle an excellent WSB cover. He will cooperate because he needs to meet with Anna and Robert, but to maintain his cover, the PICS must pretend to kidnap him because he doesn't want to scare Brenda. She will feel safe with him, because he will assure her that "he's got everything covered," and they will be rescued. Also, she knows Robert and Anna.
In the Catacombs, there is a section which is sort of cut off from everywhere else. There are several large dry caverns there - perfect for the hideaway and to set up the **beds**. It's the section where Damian Smith got lost and could not find his way out. Robert and Anna know the secret entrance, however, so no problem. The only concern might be Foster. He and Lucky found Damian, but without Foster, Lucky would never find it again.
For that reason, as a precaution, we need to "borrow" Annabelle from the Q's, so that we can lay a false scent trail, in case Foster ever wanders in there, or someone thinks about searching the place, using Foster.
Phyllis reminded me that we also have to make proper preparations in the catacombs for our 2 couples. The first thing we need to do is get a very comfy *bed*! Better make that 2, 1 for each couple. I guess we should stock up on some good wine and lots of candles too! And maybe include a good stereo system with some *very* romantic music.
Don't forget FOOD - Others have hidden out in the Catacombs in the past, so I know you will find a refrigerator and freezer, all the necessities. Also, don't worry about light. Robert has made use of the Catacombs in the past and he knows where there is a secret generator that does not depend on the City power supply.
They will also need some clothes. If you check with Jax, he will pack some things for Brenda, but tell him that to keep her from getting too scared, there should be some nice things, and of course a few gorgeous sleep sets to go with the *bed* - that red one for instance!
For Anna, we want to be sure to pack along that amazing flame red dress she wore the first time she dated Robert before they were re-married. That was the time she handcuffed him to the pole in the warehouse, to pay him back for underestimating her. She really rocked his socks off that time, started his blood a-boiling and got her man! It will be good to see them again.
Once they are settled into their separate compartments, with the help of the PICs, everybody gets to organizing their common living space.
Robert and Anna are extraordinary experts at disguises. They will have to explain to Brenda that there are enemies after them and they are counting on her help and Jax's and, to get around Port Charles freely, they must all be expertly disguised. While they plan all that, it will take quite a bit of time.
The only real concern they have is that they do not want to include Brenda in the real action for as long as possible because, should anything happen, the less she knows, the safer she will be. Meantime, Jax has told his secretary to tell anyone who asks that he is out of town for about two weeks. That should be enough time for everyone to do what's got to be done.
Meantime, the unsuspecting mob boss in Port Charles has no idea that the WSB is on his
track and danger lurks around the corner....
