Imagine in the real world when you have to go to a party. You have a hot shower, you shave (well not in my case), put on a bit of cologne, comp your hair, dress nicely, take a bottle; well the parties in Bosnia where exactly the same apart from the shower (the hot part) and the fact that you had to wear a bullet proof west. And usually the bottle was plain water. This party was at the BBC house which was further down the road and we would sometimes choose to walk there and there was this one sniper up the hill that would sometimes decide to take a pot shot at us. It gave you an extra conversation line for the party. So next time when the taxi in London picks you up late, or it's raining in New York and your hair is going to spoil, do not worry... as long as nobody is shooting at you, you are doing well.
In the picture me and Johnny Saunderson are having a flak jacket war. I have no clue where the flak jacket war originated from. The idea was too hit each other with the front of the jacket and who ever moved back lost. Johnny as he was a bit bigger than me I had to cheat and used my side. It was the only way I could stay upright. Ken Herron was enjoying it as much as we where.
