SYNOPSIS
Following
the success of The Man From U.N.C.L.E. (U.N.C.L.E. stood for United
Network Command for Law and Enforcement),
NBC decided in the fall of 1966 to create The Girl From U.N.C.L.E., a companion James
Bond-type spy spoof. Organization head Alexander
Waverly teamed American April Dancer, a young, attractive, and very resourceful
agent, with Mark Slate, recently transferred from U.N.C.L.E.'s London office
to its New York headquarters. In the fight against THRUSH and other enemies
of the world community, this new team would add its skills and enthusiasm. If
The Man From U.N.C.L.E. seemed
rather far-fetched to fans of spy and espionage stories, The Girl
From U.N.C.L.E. was even sillier and more implausible, and it soon disappeared.
