SYNOPSIS

A fast-paced action series whose chief attraction was the backdrop of New York City, where the show was filmed.

Leading the Harlem Eastside Lifesaving Program (H.E.L.P.), a combined team of police officers, firefighters and medics was fearless Battalion Chief Meacham. Rushing around the city coaxing escaped cougars out of tenements, mad bombers out of subway tunnels, jumpers off of bridges and terrified residents out of burning buildings were his team members:  Officers Barton and Alba, paramedics Pappas and Rodriguez and firefighters Ryan and Ballantry. Kathleen was the Chief's worried wife.
