SYNOPSIS

This series revolved around a sensible detective named Bob Ballard surrounded by a squad room full of crazies.

Among the cast members were: his newly assigned partner, Richard, a tall, skinny, aging flower child just off psychiatric leave; Capt. Kenny, the incompetent mama's boy who had just been promoted to the job Bob deserved; Al, the resident psycophant and Bishop, the hefty Deputy Commissioner who reveled in his own importance.

Passing through were a variety of crazy arrestees from the precinct's notoriously wild beach community of Venice, California.
