SYNOPSIS

Sky King was a contemporary Western, Starring Kirby Grant as an Arizona pilot/rancher who used an airplane instead of a horse to fight bad guys. With him on the Flying Crown Ranch were his teenage niece Penny and nephew Clipper. Sky's twin-engine Cessna was called The Songbird.

Sky King ended up up all over the weekend daytime schedule before touching down in prime time in 1953. It was seen Sunday afternoons on NBC from 1951-1952 and Saturday afternoons on ABC from 1952-1953. Later, from 1959-1966, the same films showed up on Saturday afternoons on CBS. The program was also heard on radio from 1946-1954.
