SYNOPSIS

This short-lived series starred Dick Van Dyke, whose previous success had been in sitcoms rather than variety shows.

A true fan of pantomime and well-known for his impression of Stan Laurel, Van Dyke made nonverbal comedy a major ingredient in this show. In addition to the mime segments, there were appearances by guest stars and a recurring sketch - "The Bright Family" - about the worlds' dumbest family.
