SYNOPSIS
James T. West was the James Bond of TV Westerns. West was an undercover agent for President Grant whose assignments usually involved exposing the attempts of various radical, revolutionary or criminal groups to take over all or part of the United States.
Helping him on his adventures was his fellow Secret Service Agent, Artemus Gordon, a master of disguise and dialects. The two of them traveled in a special railroad car that supplied them with the materials needed to conconct all sorts of bizarre weapons and devices to stop their adversaries attempts.
One villain who had a remarkable knack for escaping prison if caught or evading capture altogether was the evil genius Dr. Miguelito Loveless. Loveless was to Jim West what Professor Moriarty was to Sherlock Holmes - a brilliant foe bent on taking over the world!
Beautiful women, highly-charged situations and fantastic devices propelled this series throughout its four-year run. CBS aired reruns of The Wild Wild West during the summer of 1970.
