The cult television classic Dark Shadows, which originally aired as a daytime drama on ABC-TV from 1966 to 1971, inspired a vast array of merchandise based on the program. For the first time, these hundreds of collectibles are featured in a commemorative volume, which offers dozens of photographs, including previously unpublished publicity stills featuring series star Jonathan Frid (Barnabas Collins).

Author Craig Hamrick lists all of the Dark Shadows memorabilia issued from 1966 to the present, and provides background information on each item as well as trivia and estimated values in today's collector's marketplace.

Among the Dark Shadows collectibles covered are: paperback novels, comic books,
records and compact discs, videotapes, trading cards, posters, puzzles, games, clothing, jewelry and toys. Materials from the motion pictures House of Dark Shadows (1970) and Night of Dark Shadows (1971) are also featured.

Hamrick is a magazine editor who lives in New York City. He also wrote "Big Lou: the Biography of Louis Edmonds," and his column "Dark Shadows Collectors' Corner" appears exclusively on America Online at KEYWORD: Dark Shadows.
