"Who Says You Can't Have It All?"

Miss Universe 1999"Who Says You Can't Have It All?" is the slogan for Clairol's latest ad campaign for their Textures and Tones haircare products.

And Clairol's spokesperson for this ad campaign? None other than Miss Universe 1999, Mpule Kwelagobe of Botswana. One and two-page ads featuring glam shots of Mpule are appearing in U.S. magazines now.

In the photo here, we see her backstage at the 1999 Miss Universe Pageant, just moments after winning the coveted title.

As spokesperson and model for Clairol, Mpule joins the ranks of other recent pageant winners who have snagged similar product endorsement deals, including India's Diana Hayden, Miss World 1997, who is a spokesperson for L'Oreal, and Joyce Giraud, Miss Puerto Rico 1998 (and second runner-up to Miss Universe 1998), who is a spokesperson for Clairol's Hydrience haircare products.

Thanks to our Esteemed Benefactor for sharing this exclusive, behind-the-scenes photo with us.
