"Preparations Under Way For 49th Annual Celebration"

The 49th annual Miss Universe Pageant is rapidly approaching, and Beauty School is busy putting the final touches on its "Complete Miss Universe Beauty Pageant Coverage." Actually, what we have in store are two features to mark the May 12th event. So be on the look out for our "Double Crown" photo feature and our "Dish on the 80's."

P.S. We are not sure who the girl in the picture is. We think she may be Miss Welcome to Long Beach 1958 or 1959. If you can identify her, email us. Miss Universe scholars specializing in the 1950's, Long Beach era know that Miss Welcome to Long Beach served as official hostess to the Miss Universe Pageant contestants.
