Who Will Be the New Miss Teen USA?

It's Miss Teen USA week and in honor of the celebration, we have selected Ruth Zakarian as our Picture of the Week.

Here we see Ruth, the very first Miss Teen USA, in a patriotic shot. At the inaugural pageant, in 1983, Ruth represented New York state and had plans to be an actress. After her reign, she changed her name to Devon Pearce and fulfilled her dream by appearing on a long running soap opera.

Unfortunately, we at Beauty School don't have time to watch soap operas, so we don't know which one she appeared on or whether she is still doing it. But make no mind, Ruth was a great Miss Teen USA. And we wish everyone competing in this year's pageant, in Shreveport, Louisiana, the best of luck at the final this coming Saturday.
