Estamos Unidos

The U.S. Spanish-language TV network Univision recently announced it will produce its first-ever original situation comedy (sitcom for short), Estamos Unidos (United Always). And the star of the sitcom is none other than Miss Universe 1996, Alicia Machado of Venezuela. In the photo on the right, we see Alicia the day after winning the Miss Universe 1996 title in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Estamos Unidos will air Friday nights at 10:00pm EST. Set in California but filmed in Miami, the show will chronicle the experiences of the Quiroga family as they adjust to life in los Estados Unidos (the USA). Alicia's co-star will be Mexican actor Carlos Bonavides.
