PICTURE OF THE WEEK
Our students know that the Deans of Beauty School are unabashed Ash fans, and we are proud to present this glam shot of one of our favorite Miss World winners, India's Aishwarya Rai, Miss World 1994.
Ash has been bagging all the major Indian film awards for her starring roles in "Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam" and "Taal." And last night (Saturday, June 24), she received yet another award at the Bollywood Oscars, held at London's Millennium Dome.
As one Indian director said about the event, "Wake up and smell the curry."
Ash is definitely the spice of the year. Currently, she can be seen heating up the screen in "Josh," an Indian remake of the 1961 U.S. film "West Side Story."
The awards ceremony, which organizers said was watched by a world-wide television audience of more than a billion people, was hosted by India's Miss World 1999, Yukta Mookhey.
