To mark the 40th anniversary of Japan's Universal victory, we present Akiko Kojima, Miss Universe 1959.
"Floating on a cloud and living a dream" was how Akiko described her first day as Miss Universe 1959. She also said "I had to pinch myself to be sure it was not a dream."
Who will be floating on a cloud and pinching herself this year? We'll all know Wednesday, May 26.
