World Politics

Dagmar Winkler, who represented Germany at Miss World 1977, holds her look-alike Yorkshire terrier, Archie Von Luisenhof. Among Dagmar's plans when she arrived in London for Miss World 1977 was to look for a mate for her dog. "Archie is very lonely on his own so I'm going to buy him a lady friend," she said.

Dagmar was prominent in pageant circles during the 1970s, participating in Miss Universe 1973, Miss International 1977 (where she placed second), and Miss World 1977 (where she finished third). She later entered the world of politics and is a member of the German parliament.
