Here is Miss World 1994, India's Aishwarya Rai, on the cover of the magazine FEMINA (January 23, 1995 issue).

Since her Miss World days, Ash (as she is affectionately called) has become an actress in India's huge film industry. In fact, the October 1998 issue of MOVIE, a leading Bollywood magazine, names Ash as one of the 10 hottest heroines in Indian films today.

Although her films to date have not done well at the box office, all the big Bollywood directors are still betting on her. Currently, she has seven big film deals lined up. Why?

MOVIE sums it up this way: "Ash has the ideal concoction which the industry goes for - youth, beauty, dancing ability and a fan following."
