Miss World 1972

PICTURE OF THE WEEK

"World Tour '99
Trick or Treat"

The next stop on Beauty School's World Tour '99 is the USA, where October 31 is celebrated as Halloween.

This ancient holiday takes its modern form with masquerade parties taking place across the country. Much like Fasching Day or Carnival, it's one great excuse to dress up in outlandish outfits.

In the photo above, we see the contestants at Miss World 1972 getting into the spirit of Halloween by donning va-va-voom blonde wigs.

Miss World USA 1972, Lynda Carter of Arizona, is front and center, but can you spot the eventual winner of Miss World 1972 from this sea of blonde bombshells?

(She is in the back row, second from the right, holding both her hands on her hair).

Happy Halloween!

Thanks to our Esteemed Benefactor for sharing this wild and whacky photo with us.
