FRIDAY NOVEMBER 6, 1998

BEN'S HOUSE: Maria realized that Ben and Meg had changed their minds, but they assured her that they hadn't, and welcomed her in. They admitted that they were surprised to see her because they thought that she had made her mind up not to move in with them. Ben took Maria up to the studio. Meg remembered Sara's parting words that once Maria moved in, she might never move out again. Ben told Meg how grateful he was that she was so good about Maria staying with them. She responded that she has her own agenda -- the sooner Maria remembers, the sooner they can be married.

Maria walked in on Ben and Meg kissing. She tried to leave unobtrusively, but stumbled on her way back up the stairs, and they heard her. She said that she came downstairs because she wanted to take a shower, but there were no towels. Meg went to help Maria. Meg told Ben that they may not have any privacy now, but they have the rest of their lives to be together.

CUMMINGS HOUSE: Sara walked into the backyard, where she saw Casey asleep on the swing. She kneeled down next to him, and he woke up. They spent a romantic moment on the swing. It ended when Sara told him that she can't believe that she's with Casey sometimes, and she's afraid of screwing things up. He told her that she wouldn't, because when he kisses her, his whole life is perfect.

RICHARDS HOUSE: Olivia realized that they didn't have to catch Cole stealing the necklace, they just had to make Caitlin think that Cole stole the necklace. Cole was unable to convince Caitlin that he didn't steal the necklace. Caitlin decided to turn Cole in, but changed her mind at the last minute. She told Ricardo that she needed to leave, but he told her that she couldn't until she was searched, too.

Bette cornered Annie to get her to admit that she arranged the theft of the necklace. Annie suggested to Ricardo that Francesca might have the necklace. Gregory told Annie that he knew that she was trying to engineer Cole's downfall and asked her to fill him in on her plan. Annie denied setting Cole up. Olivia asked AJ about the curse on the necklace, and he assured her that it wasn't a curse -- just bad luck. However, he doesn't necessarily believe it himself after watching Annie choke while wearing it.

SEA BREEZE MOTEL: After the mirror in her room shattered, Francesca heard the chanting. Ricardo arrived, but Francesca had already left. Ricardo noticed that the mirror was broken.

BERNIE'S HOUSE: When she and Sean went into Bernie's study to investigate a noise they heard, Amy noticed that a book that Bernie was always reading was on the floor. They left for Olivia's house, and Amy brought the book with her. Once they were gone, Hillary came out of her hiding place, vowing to find the jewels. She tore the room apart looking for "it." When the phone rang, she answered it, and heard the voices chanting again. Hillary decided to hurt Caitlin to get the jewels away from Cole.

OLIVIA'S HOUSE: Bette arrived while Amy was asking Emily not to tell her mother about Bernie turning into a mummy. When Bette asked what Amy didn't want her to know, Sean claimed that she just didn't want her to know that she was spending the night. Bette didn't buy it, so Emily explained that Bernie wasn't home, and that it makes Amy nervous to spend the night in an empty house. Later, Amy opened up the book, which was titled Curses and Legends.

THE BEACH: Caitlin declared that everyone told her that Cole was stealing again, and that he was with Francesca every time he disappeared, and now she believed it. She told him that she was through defending him. Cole asked if Caitlin has ever heard of lying for the right reasons, and said that he thought that he was. She asked him to tell her that he hasn't been stealing jewels with Francesca. She saw Francesca bump into him, and noted how he caused a distraction so that she could sneak out unnoticed. She asked him to deny it, but he couldn't. She told him not to come home. Cole decided to get Francesca to give back the jewels so that he can have Caitlin back.

RICHARDS HOUSE: Olivia brought Trey downstairs, so that she and Trey were the first thing Caitlin saw when she returned home. Caitlin announced that Cole wouldn't be coming home.
