WEDNESDAY JULY 8, 1998

CUMMINGS HOUSE: Sara realized that Casey risked his life to save Meg. He told her that both Meg and Sara deserved to be happy. Sara admitted that she was having a hard time putting the affair with Congressman Blythe behind her, and Casey convinced her to tell her parents the truth.

After Casey left, Melinda arrived to say that she was going to leave town. Hank and Joan went for a walk on the beach while Melinda and Sara said their farewells. Melinda tried to talk Sara out of telling her parents the truth. Casey came by because he saw Hank and Joan on the beach, and he was wondering if Sara told her parents yet.

After Melinda left, Sara informed Casey that she didn't think she could tell her parents, because Melinda suggested that now might not be a good time. Casey told her that he didn't think that Melinda was necessarily such a good friend.

RICHARDS HOUSE: Antonio found out that AJ won't be attending the baptism. Antonio tried to convince Cole that it would only be detrimental to Trey if Cole shut out his grandfather.

When Olivia nearly remembered who the woman was in the cabin, Gregory told her to stop being so dramatic. AJ accused Gregory of having something to hide. Olivia was shocked when Gregory informed her that Annie is going to be Trey's godmother. Caitlin wanted Olivia and Annie to both be Trey's godmothers. Olivia accused Caitlin of trying to be deliberately cruel to her; she was taking Annie's side against her!

Gregory told AJ that he can become a partner in the Liberty Corporation. AJ asked Gregory how he can talk business when the woman he supposedly loved for 25 years was so upset. Annie asked Gregory how he could make that offer to AJ at all. Gregory said that nothing AJ could do could hurt a great team like them. AJ and Olivia left.

Cole asked Caitlin why she kept changing her mind about whether she wants Annie to be Trey's godmother. Caitlin claimed that she asked Annie because she's part of the family now. Later, Caitlin swore that Annie will never get away with what she's doing. But she amended that, saying that she just thinks that Annie's trying to take over the baptism. Caitlin apologized to Cole for being so on edge. Cole figured out that Annie is blackmailing Caitlin and begged her to tell him what Annie has on her.

OLIVIA'S HOUSE: Bette broke the news of Gregory's marriage to Annie to Sean. When Bette left Sean alone in the living room, Emily knocked at the door to return his wallet. She saw him walk up to the house, and thought she'd return his wallet to him. Emily bolted when she found out that Bette was living in the house. Sean wished he could introduce Bette to his "friend," but that they'll meet at the party after the baptism. Later, Emily called Sean to apologize for disappearing and she wouldn't be able to make the party. To make it up to him, she asked him to be her date for the cruise.

ST. JOSEPH'S: Carmen admitted that it wasn't Ben she saw trying to hurt Meg, it was Derek. But she still wouldn't admit that Ben didn't kill Maria.

Olivia stressed out about whether she should attend the baptism. Carmen encouraged her to attend it, because then all of her questions will be answered. Carmen revealed that only a miracle can bring the answers she seeks, and that she'll get her miracle. Antonio rescued Olivia from Carmen.

Annie overheard Olivia ask Antonio to take her confession. Olivia confessed that she accused Caitlin of trying to hurt her. She also revealed that she's been on edge because she's starting to remember what happened to her baby. She thought that perhaps she flew off the handle because she was envious about Caitlin's healthy baby when her own baby was dead. Antonio suggested she has some issues regarding Cole, and Annie overheard Olivia say that she wishes she'd never slept with Cole!
