The Klingon Language Institute is a non profit Organization, dedicated to the study of Linguistics through the use of this delightful artificial language: tlhIngan Hol. This IS a real language, with grammatical structure, a large (expanding) vocabulary, and readily accessible rules. We use this tool within the context of a fictional culture (we're pretty sure of this part [X-philes, want to believe]), with known social parameters, all lain out for us by the great storyteller, and Humanitarian; Gene Roddenberry. We hope to pursue his goal of a greater tommorrow, with our own application of expanded personal knowledge, and understanding of existing earth languages, as seen through the looking glass of Klingon. (*Phew*, Linguists, even amateurs can get verbose!)
