WHAT'S NEW!
July 3:  This site will be closing on October 26, 2009.  It won't be moving anywhere else.  Frankly, I don't really care.  This site was fun at first, but as I got older, it just seemed kinda'... well, stupid.  I mean, the idea behind it was nice, but I got lazy, and I hated Geocities, and it just didn't seem worth the time.  I'll try to save the Season 26 summaries I have, but for the most part, good riddance to this site.  I mean, I'd have never actively deleted the site, as I wouldn't want to actively deprive anyone who actually likes it, but I'm making no effort to keep most of what's here.  Except that "Welcome to my Homepage" rectangle graphic, 'cause that's kinda' nostalgic.  But really... "Let's retire Secret 'X'"?!  How lame and stupid I once was....  How few of the links at the bottom even still work?  Yeah... kinda' figures, since I hadn't updated the site in over 7 years.  Still a little sad to see it go....
Hi there.  I'm Frank, and my favorite television show is The Price is Right.  I love talking about that show, and that I plan to do here.
Let's Retire Secret "X"!
A petition has been started to try to get Shell Game played more often and to get Secret "X" retired.  Read it here.  And if you agree, by all means, sign!
Janice, our Price is Right mother!
Dian and Chantel might have been the cutest models on the show, and Holly might have been that friend of ours, but Janice was like a mother to us on the show.  What will become of the show without our beloved Janice?  Who's going to hand Bob his microphone, or run the Grocery Game cash register, or crash the Lucky $even car into the wall *chuckles*?  Really, it just isn't going to be the same....

We'll miss you Janice!
Bob Barker is the host of The Price is Right, and has been hosting it since 1972.  Rod Roddy is the current announcer for the show; before 1985, Johnny Olsen announced for the show.  Here's some interesting moments I've seen on the show...
In one episode in1996, the contestant played Cliff Hangers.  It was toward the end of the 24th season when one of the most bizarre contestants ever played this game.  One of the prizes the contestant had to guess the price of was a toy guitar.  Can you guess what this contestant guessed?  $15?  $25?  $40?  Nope, this contestant guessed $2000!  How dumb do you get?!  How often are prizes ever even above $50?!  In any case, Bob was trying to convince him to guess something lower; MUCH lower.  The stubborn contestant wouldn't take Bob's hints, and never went lower than $850, his final guess.  Of course this guess was wrong, and of course this contestant lost the game.  Several points of interest here, though.  First, this is one of the only times Cliff Hangers has been lost with the first prize.  Second, this is probably the worst anyone has played this game on the show.  And third (and best I think), Bob knew the guy lost, and was so frustrated with the contestant, he asked for the mountain climber to be zoomed up the hill.  Very funny, I think, though I haven't seen this in anyone's collection, although I FINALLY do have this episode on tape!

Joker is a bad version of the Shell Game, which itself is a better version of the Bonus Game.
Just to make note, the Bonus Game is better than Joker.  Also, of the three games, the Shell Game is the only one where the contestant can win a $500 bonus.
Clearance Sale is a worse version of Eazy az 1-2-3.
Fortune Hunter has been retired!  This game will be missed :o(
