"Missy and I went into the hospital around 7:30 AM, so it wasn't one of those middle of the night things. The doctor induced labor, even though Missy had gone into the early stages of it, and she had the baby about four hours later."

Scott reports that Missy's doing great, and that Emily has welcomed her baby brother into the family. "Emily just loves her brother," Scott says with a smile. "We let her hold the baby and help feed him. Missy and I have made sure that Emily gets as much attention as possible. She knows this is her baby brother and she's a part of everything, which is just great."

The newest member of the Reeves clan is named after Melissa's father Larry and her brother David, and he also has something in common with his paternal grandmother. "The baby's initials are L.D.R., and we realized that those are the same initials that as my mom's," Scott says.

The Reeves knew in advance that they'd be having a son, which gave them time to decorate the nursery accordingly. "Larry's room was all ready for him," says Scott. "On the walls are (painted) a blue sky with clouds and there's a wallpaper border that has a family of wolves on it. It actually has a very rugged and outdoorsy look to it." Hmmmm... sounds like someone is planning a father/son camping trip in a few years.
