A picnic! How romantic!!
Peter needs someone like you to help make decisions with him! After you make the choice he realizes that this is the one he would rather do too!
You both go inside to pack a lovely picnic lunch with checkered napkins and a wicker basket -the works!! Peter takes the basket in one hand and offers the other one to you. You both lock up the house and stroll to the meadow down the street. You exchange loving looks talking all the while and you arrive at your destination in no time!
You both run through the field of long grass - it is truly a scene much like one from a romantic movie - and pick a spot to set up your carefully prepared lunch of vegetarian goodies. Peter pours some sparkling water into glasses and you make a toast to the two of you but it gets interrupted by a sneeze. Peter says the obligatory 'God bless you' and attempts to finish the toast but again is interrupted by a succession of sneezes this time. At this point you can barely see through your eyes because they have puffed up and are watering non stop. You are sneezing uncontrollably now and feel just awful that your allergies have ruined this beautiful date. Peter looks at you sympathetically and insists on taking you home. Since you can't see, he guides you over to a spot out of the way so he may pack up the picnic to take you home.
All of a sudden, you hear him screaming in pain apparently the picnic blanket was sitting right on top of a bees nest and they are now swarming everywhere!! You call out to him but all you hear is the buzzing, amidst his fearful yelps, as he tears past you to escape the angry swarm. You can now make out the sound of his feet on the sidewalk and feel relieved that he has made it to safety, but then you hear a thud. Peter has fallen in a heap upon the paved walk for he is allergic to bee stings! Unexpectedly, an ambulance just happens to be driving by (work with me people - this is a game!) they see Peter, jump out, and instantly know they must rush him to the hospital! They put him in the back of the ambulance and screech off, sirens blaring!
As you sit there feeling very helpless and depressed, you hear the sound of footsteps approaching through the long grass. A man kindly asks you if he can help. Thankfully you tell him what has happened and ask if he can guide you to your house which is just down the street.
The next day, you are feeling back to your old self when the doorbell rings. It is the delivery man with flowers for you. You excitedly open them and quickly read the card which is enclosed hoping it's from Peter! It reads:
I hope you are feeling better today! I was
so glad
I could help out yesterday. I'm sure you will want
to thank me by doing me the honor of a date with
me this evening.

You look at the picture, drop the flowers and scream with fright! Then, to make matters worse, the phone rings and it's your best friend who works at the hospital, informing you that Peter has just proposed to the nurse who took care of him and nursed him back to health!!
Ack! better luck next time luv - and oh, have fun on that date tonight!! {wink, wink}
