Soulmates - by

Juan and Teresa have never met. However, she and Emily have had a run-in before and it wasn't a great experience.

Chapter 1

Juan was coming downstairs from his room at Kelly's. It was raining outside but he wasn't going to let that ruin his first official official date with Emily. They had one before but that was short lived. He was wearing a dark blue shirt and khaki's with a heavy jacket. He was leaving Kelly's opening his umbrella when he saw a girl sitting at one of the tables. He decided to stop and see if she was upset or okay. He didn't want her to sit there and freeze. He went up to the table that she was sitting at and shared the umbrella with her.
The girl's head shot up when she heard someone pull out the chair
Juan noticed the redness in her eyes but he couldn't tell if she were crying or if it was the rain. He knew she wasn't going to say anything so he decided to start the conversation.

"So, what are you doing out here in the rain?" said Juan

Oh God, the girl thought. I hope this guy leaves me alone. The last I need is a happy-go-lucky freak to lighten my forever down spirits.

"I like the rain," said the girl

"So do I," Juan closed his umbrella. Now they were both getting wet.

"Oh you do?" The girl knew that Juan was bluffing, but she wanted to see how long he could last.

"Yeah. After a good thunderstorm I feel so cleansed. Oh and those hurricanes?? They're the best."

The girl decided to play along.
"Oh yeah. And don't forget the thunderstorms. Especially when you get hit by one of those bad boys. Pure excitement."

Juan had to laugh. He knew this girl did not like the rain that much. The girl started to laugh, too. The girl knew that this guy was kind of cool so she thought I better introduce myself, before he tells me he has a girlfriend or something. Cause no guy this cute is single.

The girl extended her hand and said, "Hi, I'm Teresa Rivera."

Juan shook her hand and said,"Oh so I have a boriqua on my hands. Well I'm a boriquo and my name is Juan Santiago."

Man this guy is cute, Teresa thought. And he has an awesome smile, and a sense of humor.

"Nice to meet you Juan. So how long have you lived in (in a sarcastic tone) The Great Port Charles"

"Before I answer that can we go inside cause its starting to get clod out here, and I don't know about you but I was lying about liking the rain."

"I knew you wouldn't last. Well I wasn't lying and I'd love to go in as long as you buy me a hot chocolate." She wanted to make sure this guy had some cash.

"You tryin to see if I'm financially stable, huh? Well you're in luck. I have a 2 for 1 coupon for a whole meal."

"I'll pass."

"I'm kidding. I'm kidding. I'll buy you a hot chocolate."
