Director: David Trainer

Eric's Buddy
Director: David Trainer
Producer: Franco E. Bario
Writers: Philip Stark
Guest Stars:
Joseph Gordon Levitt - Buddy
Frank - ?

*Note The channel started flickering in and out during the show. Both the sound and the screen so I missed a great deal of what happened after Buddy kissed Eric

Eric's new lab partner becomes a really good new friend when Eric sees how great his car is. He leaves school with him, ditching Hyde and Kelso. Kelso is really worried and we find out that Kelso makes better grades than Hyde. Kelso and Hyde are only friends with Eric because he had a car, and as kids he had a tree house and go-cart.

Red is having trouble at work being a good salesman. He isn't a people person.
Hyde complains about how much time Eric is spending with his new friend and then puts the moves on a Donna a little. Jackie thinks that Eric has accomplished something big because Buddy is in a popular clique at school.
Buddy is gay though and when he kisses Eric it causes more than a little strain in their relationship.

Okay that's as far as I saw. Thanks so very much to Adam K Kirchhoff for writing this part about the show!!

Eric and Buddy drive home. The rest of the gang have been hanging out in the basement discussing Buddy, when Fez remarks that Buddy is "so gay". Most of the gang think that he's wrong. Needless to say, when Eric gets there they all have questions for him, which he refuses to answer. After everyone other than Donna and Hyde have left, they both ask him if Buddy is gay, and Eric says something along the lines of "well if he is, he'll never hit on me again".

In the mean time, Red finally makes a sale. Of course, he's faking being nice the entire time, but is very proud of himself.

The second to last clip has Eric approaching Buddy after school near Buddy's car. Eric asks Buddy for the lab notes back, which Buddy gives him, under the impression that Eric no longer wants to be his lab partner. Eric sees that Buddy is sad and let's him know that he just wants the notes back for the night and that they will still remain friends.

The last scene is Red and Bob, hanging out together, and high fiving each other, similar to Eric and Buddy earlier in the show.

The Best Christmas Ever

Producer: Franco E. Bario
Writers: Terry Turner & Philip Stark
Guest Stars:
Marion Ross - Bernice Forman
Lisa Robin Kelly - Laurie Forman
Heidi Marshall - Jenny
Megan Paul - Tracy
Sarah Hawkins - Lisa
Matt Mackenzie - Patrol Man #1

It's Christmas time which means the Forman Christmas party. Eric doesn't want to go to another one but wants to throw one himself for his friends in the basement. He asks permission and gets it but Kitty still wants to make her cookies and punch. He doesn't have any money though so Red gives him the Christmas tree money. If there is any left over, he can have that to throw the party with.
They get the idea to cut down a tree (In other words, stealing) by the highway. This way they have lots of beer money.
Hyde wants to get a present for Donna but only wants to spend $6. He gets advice from Jackie and Donna's mom Midge. He gets a frame and puts the picture had of him and Donna since fifth grade in it. It's a touching present and makes the perfume Eric got Donna look bad. She got him tube socks though and a jealous Eric is happy.
Laurie pours Rum into Kitty's punch and Jackie and her friends get drunk. This is great for Fez 'cause he gets lots of women but Jackie ends up spilling the news about Hyde wanting Donna.
Red has to work in Bob's store for Christmas and buys a Pong game for himself. Kelso gets Jackie hot rollers. With steam!
They were found out though for stealing the tree and the party is broken up. Red takes Fez's women away.

Donna and Eric want to spend time together though but Hyde wants to spend time with Donna himself.

Stolen Car
Director: David Trainer

When Eric and Kelso cause a tiny scratch to the car Red suspends his driving privaleges. Kelso comes through though and borrows his cousin's car. Eric does not like being relegated to the horrors of backseat again though after being the driver.
The car turns out to not really be his cousins and they are arrested. Kelso blows his only phone call talking to Jackie. She decides to finally prove her love to Kelso with her well planned first time having sex.
Kitty gives Red a hard time about giving Eric a hard time and he gets the cruiser back.
It turns out it really wasn't stolen and they are released.

Midge gets Kitty to go to therapy night and Laurie tags along for free drinks.

First Date
Director: David Trainer
Producer: Franco E. Bario
Writers: Mark Brazill
Guest Stars:
Dino Meminger - Waiter

My Review - Eric invites Donna to go on their first real date (not counting all of the times he mauled her) for Valentine's Day. She cancels her date - to study - with Hyde for this. Eric is planning on giving Donna his class ring and Hyde is upset he missed his chance with Donna (when he ever had a chance I don't know. Didn't the Ski Trip slap clue him in?). Fez advises him to go to Donna and tell her his feelings before she accepts Eric's ring.
Donna gets drunk from the Long Island ice tea and screws up their date.
Jackie and Kelso go shopping for cloggs. Kelso thinks this really means "doing it". Jackie says they are not going to have sex every chance they get.
The parents have a night of fondu.

The Pill
Director: David Trainer
Producer: Franco E. Bario
Writers: Linda Wallem

My Review - Jackie interupts Eric dancing along with American Bandstand on the tube while she's looking for Donna. She needs a friend and tells Eric that she's pregnant.
Kelso passes out when he finds out. He says he'll never have sex again but since he still has some of his old legos it'll be fun having a kid.
Donna is worried about getting pregnant if she decides to have sex so she goes on the pill. Eric and Bob both find out when the pharmacist gives the pills to him instead of his cough medicine. Laurie was there and she tattles on him. Eric has to sit through a sex conversation with Red and Kitty including foreplay.

My Review - It's career day so Eric goes to work with Kitty.
Kelso's dad explains in very complicated terms what he does but Kelso cannot figure it out.
Hyde and Fez spend the day with Hyde's mom Edna, the school lunch lady. Jackie is a sophmore so she doesn't have career day. She ends up helping Red fix the Vista Cruiser.

Prom Night
Director: David Trainer
Producer: Franco E. Bario
Writers: Philip Stark
Guest Stars:
Gloria Gaynor - Mrs. Clark
Jennifer Lyons - Pam Macy
Grey Delisle - Ms. Kaminsky
Paul Connor - Timmy

My Review - Eric and Donna are going to the prom. Jackie cries because Kelso didn't ask her and guilts Hyde into taking her. Kelso is going with Pam Macy.
Eric thinks this could be the night he and Donna have sex and he wants to be prepared with a place to go but worries that it won't be sponataneous.
Fez thinks that his teacher is in love with him and thinks that he will take her to the prom.

A New Hope
Director: David Trainer
Producer: Franco E. Bario
Writers: : Joshua Sternin & Jeffrey Ventimilia

Lisa Robin Kelly - Laurie
Scott Whyte -David

My Review - The guys go and see Star Wars in Kenosha. Kelso is especially into it and drags Jackie to see it.
Red runs into his old boss Ron Milbank at the K-mart and tells him to send his son David over to see Eric. Eric hates David but Red says he has to smile like hell whenever he sees him like he does with Ron.
David had scoliosis and asthma but Donna thinks he has really grown up. He thinks Donna has really grown up. Eric is jealous (rightfully. Come on, she was soooo flirting with him) but this angers Donna who thinks this means he doesn't trust her.
Laurie is bored and makes a move on Kelso.

Water Tower
Director: David Trainer
Producer: Franco E. Bario
Teleplay By: : Jeff Filco & Jackie Behan
Story By: Linda Wallem
Guest Stars:
Lisa Robin Kelly - Laurie
Gary Owens - Narrator

My Review - The gang are painting a pot leaf on the water tower. Hyde thinks it looks like a hand giving the finger and demands that Kelso fix it. In doing so, Kelso falls off the railing and breaks his arm. They don't take him to the hospital because Kelso fears getting in trouble. Eric goes upstairs to wake up his mom since she is a nurse. He catches his parents having sex and cannot get it out of his mind.
Eric's behavior is different because of the effects of the traumatic event and his parents think he is on drugs.
Jackie convinces Kelso that it was Hyde's fault that he fell off the water tower.
Laurie is very supportive of her brother.

Punk Chick
Director: David Trainer
Producer: Franco E. Bario
Writer: Dave Schiff

Jade Gordan - Chrissy

My Review - Hyde meets the "Punk Chick" Chrissy and immediatly decides he is in love with her. They also hit it off really well and she invites him to go to NYC where she is starting a punk band.
Eric cannot figure out how to unhook Donna's bra. She thinks he is assuming they are going to have sex and just wants to grope her.
Kelso is too good at Pong so he and Red make the paddles smaller.
Kitty "helps" Jackie bake a pie for school.

Guest Stars:
Marion Ross - Grandma
Pat Skipper - Marty
Buckley - Charlene
Kevin McClatchy - Man #1
Jessica Meyerson - Charlotte
Mary Pat Dowhy - Waitress
Earl Bullock - Funeral Director

My Review - Grandma is visiting and they cannot wait for her leave. Eric has to drive her home and on the ride he tells her what he really thinks of her. He says it wouldn't kill her to be nice and she drops dead right there. Eric and Red are having trouble dealing with their feelings and Kitty can't stop baking. Red's self-actualized brother Marty is visiting for the funeral and drives Red crazy.

Hyde Moves In
Director: David Trainer
Producer: Franco E. Bario
Writer: Marc Hudis
Guest Stars:
Carolyn Hennesy - Sharon Singer
Carlos Alazraqui - Male Jackie

My Review - The gang decide to go skinnydipping when they get bored with cruising by the same house a whole bunch of times. Their clothes get stolen so they have to go to Hyde's. Edna is not home because she ran off with a truck driver. She knows she is his mother but she is abandoning him anyway.
Jackie gets sick from the reservoir and Kelso is disgusted with how gross she looked. She wasn't even wearing makeup. Later he realizes that psyhical beauty lasts forever and that was just a temporary thing. Isn't he sweet?
Hyde is not surviving very well on his own so Red gives in and let's him stay with them.
Bob meets Sharon at Midge's feminist meeting and really takes a liking to her. I suspect she just goes to feminist meetings to steal herself a husband. She is the homemaker type who lives for a man.

The Good Son
Director: David Trainer
Producer: Franco E. Bario
Writer: Arthur F. Montmorncy
Guest Stars:
Carolyn Hennesy - Sharon Singer
Lisa Robin Kelly - Laurie Forman

Arlene Pileggi - Joy

My Review - Red and Kitty hook up with old friend Bull and his wife Joy. Red and Bull were in the army together and he offers him a job at his hottub store. He drives a corvette, an old dream of Red's.
Hyde is very grateful to be staying there so he does lots of chores around the house. Eric sees this as Hyde being the favorite and his jealousy causes him to do something stupid.
