I was LadyFuchsia in this chat.
TV Guide: Lisa Robin Kelly plays Laurie Foreman on That '70s Show. Welcome Lisa to our chat.
Kelly: Hi guys, how's everybody doing?
booboo_113_99: Do you like the character that you play?
Kelly: I love the character that I play! It is perfect for moi because Laurie and I have a lot in common. Like being flirtatious and being manipulative with Dad, and having a combative relationship with my brother.
SKY2FALL: Did you think That '70s Show would be a hit when you first saw the script?
Kelly: Absolutely. There was no question in my mind that the show would be a hit.
fitter201: What's it like on the set?
Kelly: It's really fun. Ashton is a jokester. Kurt Wood is incredible, great actor. Debra Jo is a hoot, fun to work with. Basically everyone is very laid back, and it's a relaxed set.
PEPPER_040: Has your life changed since the show started?
Kelly: Yes. I've been a working actress for a while. However, now I'm starting a big publicity campaign, so I'm doing a lot of magazines. And being busy with publicity, which is a new thing for me.
ladyfuchsia: What was it like doing The X-files? I loved that episode.
Kelly: It was incredible. Besides That '70s Show, I think that was the most fun I've had working. It was so much fun to play that character. It was very cold, however, in Vancouver, and I was wearing a mini skirt at 4 in the morning. I was really happy with the work, and it was an exciting set to work on. It was just great.
Leptodude: My favorite episode was the Christmas one. Did you like it? I thought it was really funny when you poured the wine in the punch.
Kelly: (LOL!) Typical Laurie! I especially liked it, if you remember when we're all standing around singing, we're singing this very obscure Christmas song. I liked the fact that that was kind of thrown in there as a subtle funny moment. And I loved the stuff with Fez and the cheerleaders.
stephen222222: Do you think the foreign guy is funny?
Kelly: I think the foreign guy is funny. He's funny as a person and he's funny as the character. I love the fact that we don't really know where he's from. It's very mid-west.
stephen222222: Who is your favorite character on the show?
Kelly: I guess I would have to say, besides myself, I love the character of the father that Kurtwood Smith plays.
c_wax_99: How'd you get on the show?
Kelly: Well, there were tons of actresses that auditioned, and they picked me! Solely by my audition.
ted_i_ber: Who do you play on That '70s Show?
Kelly: Laurie Foreman. The girl who likes to stir everything up.
booboo_113_99: What is the greatest thing that has happened to you while working on the show?
Kelly: Interesting question. Really that I started out as a recurring character, and they loved me so much and I got such great audience response that I am now a regular, and will be in all the shows next season. So I would say that that's pretty great.
PEPPER_040: How did you react when you found out you made the show?
Kelly: It was a slow process. When I first got the job, I didn't know how many episodes I was going to be on. And as they kept calling me back, I slowly got excited about the prospect of being a regular. And when the contract was signed I was pretty excited, actually jumping for joy! It's nice to have a regular part. Rather it's awesome.
t_wolf_51: What is the thing that you have to miss out on because of the show, that you wish you could do the most?
Kelly: I'm tied to the show while I'm working, so obviously I can't do other features or films. Maybe I would be attracted to the material, but I'm tied to the show. It's a small price to pay.
peace_girl_7: That 70's Show is my favorite show. I wish I could star in it! Do you like your clothes?
Kelly: Oh, my God, my clothes are so incredible. I was so excited when I first got the job cause I knew I would be wearing the coolest bellbottoms and the greatest platform shoes and the t-shirts with the decals on them!
tmj_23: You guys must have a really good laugh playing your characters?
Kelly: Ha, ha, ha! We have a really good laugh.
BabyBooLover: What is your favorite music?
Kelly: Actually I love a lot of the music that came out of the late sixties and seventies, like Jimi Hendrix, that kind of music. But I also really love Billie Holiday and a lot of the blues singers. And I also love all the sappy girl music, Jewel, Alanis Morrisette.
cabravesfan: What do you think you would have been like if you were a teenager in the '70s?
Kelly: Exactly like Laurie Foreman. You can make up your mind whatever that means to you.
WWF_EXCALIBUR: Can you tell us some inside info for next season?
Kelly: I am contractually bound not to say anything. Not only that, but I don't know. They don't tell us. Except for that I'm going to be living at home. Hence, I have a job.
OoOoAbercrombieOoOo: How old where you when you started acting?
Kelly: I was acting at seven years old. Mainly doing theater.
fushia3: What's your favorite part about being on the show?
Kelly: The clothes! I love the people, I love the director, I love Bonnie and Terry Turner, the creators. And the cast is so fun. And it's well written, which is very rare for a sitcom.
Shanny_Ban: What made you want to start acting?
Kelly: You know, I really can't say. I was so attracted to it from such an early age. This is kind of a joke but, I like to pretend.
FemaleFoxMulder: Who do you think is the cutest guy on the show?
Kelly: Oh, no, you are going to get me in trouble. I think everyone knows anyway.
cripnicky: Will we see more of Laurie next season?
Kelly: You will see so much more of Laurie. I'm going to be, more than likely, in just about every episode.
tomygrl8512: What is the most embarrassing moment for you on stage?
Kelly: I was doing a play and it was a private moment where I was on stage alone and I completely forgot my lines in front of about five thousand people.
ystime: Where did you grow up?
Kelly: Toledo, Ohio. Just a great town.
g_jazz: What are your future goals after That '70s Show?
Kelly: I want to be like the kids from Friends, and do the show, and also do big studio movies.

phewston98: What advice would you give to anyone who wants to act, like me?
Kelly: Take acting classes and always observe.
wdsb_2000: You've done theatre and TV. Have you ever done a movie?
Kelly: Yes, I've done several. I have a few movies coming out. One is called Kill The Man, with Luke Wilson, Terri Garr and Paula Devick. I have a movie coming out called Clubland. That's kind of a music type movie, MTV style, the guy who did Alanis Morrisette's first album, Glen Ballard, produced the movie. And I just did a movie with Emilio Estevez called Late Last Night. And I've done a lot of made-for-television movies.
fushia3: Do you prefer doing movies or sitcoms?
Kelly: That's a tough question. They are very different mediums. There are rewards that come from doing both. But I love doing That '70s Show, because you do it in front of a live audience, like theater. And I prefer comedy.

Kelly: I'm a rock climber. My favorite sport to watch on television is tennis.

Kelly: I did a 5.9 or 5.10
OoOoAbercrombieOoOo: How do you make time in your busy schedule to talk to us? I think that is cool of you, it shows you're not all conceited like some celebrities.
Kelly: That's awfully nice of you!
HiLfiGeRToMMyGrl: Is That '70s Show taped in Wisconsin?
Kelly: No. Taped in Burbank, CA.
I_LUV_FOOTBALL_99: Do you have any pets?
Kelly: I have a cat. His name is Sam.
nightingales007: Do you think anything is going happen between your character and Kelso?

Kelly: Hmm. I have to think about that. Gosh. My favorite episode. Oh, shoot. I love them all! Equally!
vw2good4u: If you could change your character in any way what would it be?
Kelly: Well, sometimes I think as a person I feel mean. But it's so right for the character. But as a person sometimes I'm really mean, especially to my mother on the show. But that can be fun! My mom is visiting and she is sitting in the other room.
shawnster20: On the average how many takes does it take to do a show?
Kelly: It's a five day week. And then we film it in front of a live audience, and that usually takes about five hours.

Kelly: Yes! I do. Especially at how funny everyone looks in hair, makeup and costume.
