You may know Mila her best dressed as Jackie in bell bottoms jeans, zip-up boots and wacky stripes, the truth is That '70s Show's Mila Kunis has a style all her own-and she's completely into modern day fashions...and manes! After checking out the hit Fox show, Sophisticate's Hairstyle Guide knew we had to do a little behind the scenes investigating on this young star to find out the scoop on Mila's 90's style. In her own words, Mila tells all...
Mane Agenda
"I have naturally curly hair. It's just about all one length, but it's not straight at the bottom-it's curved. I usually get a conditioning treatment once a week and I use shampoo by Sebastion that I really like. When I'm hanging out with my friends, I usually wear my hair down in curls, or I pull it back with a thin black headband. Sometimes I pull it all back and let the curls fall all around my shoulders."
Show Stylin'
"They straighten my curls out for my role on That '70s Show. It doesn't take forever, but it's not a short process either! First, the show stylists put my hair in big, soft roller and let it set for maybe a half-hour. Then they take the rollers out and brush my hair through. Finally, they use a straightening iron and go over big sections to make it totally straight. My hair does have a tendency to curl back up once in a while, depending on how humid it is. If it's humid and I go outside for even two minutes, it completely goes back to curly."
Makeup Moves
"For myself, I like my makeup to look as natural as I can do it. But for the show, I end up with a lot of makeup-that's why they did in the 70s: Hot pink lip-gloss, purple eyeshadow, and eyeliner. When I go out with my friends, I usually just put on cover-up, powder, blush and lipstick."
Fashion Flair
"My favorite '70s outfit from the show is a pair of bell bottoms and a little blue shirt with rainbow and a star on it. It's really cute. I'd wear it out now, in the '90s!"
School Rules
"I go to school full time. When I'm doing That 70's Show, I have to go to school on the set for at least four hours a day. When I'm not working, I go to a regular public school, where I'm in 10th grade. My school, Fairfax High, has been accommodating with my schedule, and my teachers have been very helpful with giving me work I can do away from class."
Free Time
"I'm really busy with the show and publicity for it, but if I have time, I go with my friends to the mall, or we go ice-skating, which is cool. Or in the summer time, we go swimming. My friends all make fun of me now! They used to say 'Hi, Mila'. Now they say, 'There's that '70s chic! Hey, Mila, why don't you have a bell bottoms on? Why don't you have a tube top on?' I'm like 'Oh, shut up!'"
Mila On The Scene
So how does a young girl glam up for a big night on the town? Mila stopped by the Emmy Awards looking fabulous in pretty ringlets. Tells the star "After my hair was washed, a stylist set it on rollers. When the rollers were taken out, they didn't brush through my hair, but left the curlers whole. Then they parted it and tucked two little pins in. That's it! They just let the curls kind of hang. It was cute-I liked it! Even at the end of the night, my hair was still curly."
