A Christmas show wherein Joan borrows a life-sized animated "doll" from a store for a charity show -- until Brandon gets his hands on it.
It's a
treat watching mime Folkerson do her "lifelike" staccato robotic moves
and Brissette and Pennington do a cute "Raggedy Ann" duet.
(But isn't it redundant for Joan to wear a blond wig?)
Donald Craig (contrary to stereotype) is one of the nicest guys you'd ever want to meet or have your daughter marry. Lou Carry, a dwarf, makes his first showing among many such people appearing on the series, and not by accident, but as a subtle catharsis for Brissette's pubescent self-consciousness of her tiny stature. The show's title is that of a short-lived 1964 CBS sitcom starring Julie Newmar as sexy Rhoda the Robot.
