Chapter 6
Luke and Lulu left the hospital and had arrived home. He took Lulu upstairs and laid her in her bed. Then he went downstairs looking around the room. He felt her presence in this whole house and he broke down.
"I'm sorry, Laura. I always loved you." said Luke sobbing softly.

AJ arrived at Brenda's cottage and Jason opened the door. He saw AJ and slammed the door in his face.
"Jason, who was that?" asked Carly coming down the stairs.
"AJ." said Jason.
Carly opened the door and let him in.
"What do you want?" asked Carly exasperated.
"I need a place to stay." said AJ.
"Sorry, the inn is full." said Carly.
"I bet you're happy that Robin's dead because now you can finally have Jason all to yourself to control." said AJ a little bit angry.
Jason picked him up and pushed him up against the wall.
"Don't you talk to Carly like that and you leave Robin's death out of this." said Jason angrily.
"Put him down. Look, AJ, go find someone else who cares. I'm sorry that Robin and your grandparents are dead. I'm very sorry for everyone else who died that night and the people fighting for their lives now, but I'm grateful that it wasn't me, Michael, Jason, my mother, or Lucas." said Carly.
"How do you know your mother or Lucas isn't hurt?" asked AJ.
"She called me this morning. Now get out of here." said Carly exasperated.
He left the cottage and Jason closed the door.
"Why did you let him in? You knew he was going to say stuff to hurt you." said Jason.
"I can handle him and besides I wanted to know what he wanted THIS time." said Carly.
Then Michael cried over the baby monitor and Jason went upstairs to check on him.

Elizabeth, Lucky, and Audrey arrived at the Hardy's house.
"Are you going to be okay?" asked Lucky.
"Yeah, but you should be asking Grams that." said Elizabeth.
"I'm going home to check on my dad and sister. I'll be back later." said Lucky.
"No, Lucky. Stay home tonight because your family needs you." said Elizabeth.
"Alright. I'll call you tomorrow." said Lucky.
He hugged and kissed her.
"Get better, Mrs. Hardy." said Lucky.
"Thank you, Lucky." said Audrey.
He left their house as he headed for home.

"I better get home to my brother and sister." said Nikolas.
"I'll let you know if she wakes up." said Ned.
"I better get Jax home. When should I be expecting you?" asked V.
"When she wakes up." said Ned.
Nikolas kissed Alexis's forehead and then V and him left.
"Mrs. Lansbury, we're ready to leave." said Nikolas.
She didn't respond and he went over to shake her.
"Mrs. Lansbury? Mrs. Lansbury, it's time to go." said Nikolas panicking.
She still didn't respond.
"Get a doctor!" shouted Nikolas to V.
She ran to get a doctor as Nikolas shook her.
"Found one." said V.
The doctor checked her.
"I'm sorry, she died in her sleep." said the doctor.
"From what?" asked Nikolas.
"Internal bleeding it seems because I can feel that her rib may have punctured her lung or another organ." said the doctor.
Then he left as V hugged him.
"She never told me that she was in any pain nor did she show it." said Nikolas as tears welled up.
"She was trying to be strong for you." said V.
"She saved my sister's life, but wouldn't save her own. I don't understand. She was like a grandmother to me." said Nikolas sobbing.
"Maybe she knew her life had been fulfilled to its fullest extent and she knew that you could take care of yourself along with the aid of your aunt." said V hugging him.
Then a doctor took the old woman's body to the morgue.
"I better get going. Thanks for your support." said Nikolas sadly as he wiped away his tears.
"You're welcome." said V.
He left the hospital as she went to get Jax released.

Helena tried to get into the cockpit, but the door was locked.
"Don't try anything or I'll shoot the pilot and bail with the ONLY parachute on board." said Sonny over the intercom.
"Break the door down." ordered Helena.
"No way. Sonny always keeps his word." said Marino.
"Never trust a gangster's word." said Tony.
Tony tried to break the door down when there was a shot.

Jerry arrived at the Brownstone and noticed the group.
"It's like a circus in here." said Jerry.
Bobbie greeted him with a hug and a kiss.
"How did it go?" asked Bobbie.
"We made up. He apologized to me." said Jerry.
"That's good." she said.
"How's Lucas?" he asked.
"He's doing fine. Sorry about the huge crowd, but they don't have any place to go." she said.
"That's okay because they're your friends." he said.

Mac, Felicia, and the girls spent the night at the PCPD since they had nowhere else to go.
"Where are we going to live?" asked Felicia.
"The Outback?" asked Mac.
"It was destroyed." she said.
His face fell and she hugged him.
"We can start over." she said.
"What about Bobbie's?" he asked.
"The Quartermaines are living there for now." she said.
"Maybe we can rent a house or something." he said.
"I'll make some calls." she said.

Ned was asleep when Alexis cried out in her sleep. He immediately woke up.
"Mama! Mama! Mama, where are you?" cried Alexis child-like.
"She's not here and neither is your daddy." said Ned softly.
"Who are you?" she asked child-like, but becoming more adult-like.
"It's Ned." he said softly.
"Ned? Who's Ned?" she asked.
"Don't you remember me?" he asked.
"Maybe. Your name sounds so familiar." she said.
"Maybe if you open your eyes it will help." he said.
She tried to open her eyes.
"I can't." she said defeated.
"Try harder. Fight those people, Alexis." he said.
"I'm trying, but I want to go with them. They say it's safe and warm. They say it's beautiful and the sun always shines." she said smiling.
"Who are THEY?" he asked.
"Mama, daddy, Stefan, Mrs. Lansbury, Laura, and some other people." she said.
"What OTHER people?" he asked.
"They say the know me, but I'm not sure if I know them." she said.
"What are their names?" he asked.
"Edward, Lila, Justus, Amy, Ruby, Robin, and Brenda. They want me to go with them." she said.
"Grandmother and grandfather." he said softly.
Then she screamed.
"What?" he asked starting to panic.
"This blonde woman is trying to take me to a dark, flaming place." she said crying.
He hugged her and she relaxed.
"Did she say what her name was?" he asked.
"Katherine." she said as she cringed.
"Are you okay?" he asked.
"Brenda rescued me." she said.
He smiled as a tear fell down his cheek.
"I want to go with them." she said.
"Alexis, don't go. Stay here with me." he said softly.
"I want to go." she said.
"NO! I want you to sleep." he said firmly.
"Fine." she pouted.
He watched her body relax and kissed her cheek. He put his hand on her expanding stomach and he felt the baby kick. He smiled.
"I promise she'll wake up soon and I promise to take care of the two of you." he said to the baby.
