"Thank you." said Kristen. "That was an amazing bit of history." said Ned. He and Nikolas had tears in their eyes. Nikolas got up and hugged his grandmother. "I love you." said Kristen. "I love you, too." said Nikolas. "We have to get going." said Alexis. "You're not staying for lunch?" asked Kristen. "No, we're going to see Lois and Brooke." said Ned. "We're helping them settle into Brenda's cottage." said Alexis. "Alright. I hope to see you two soon." said Kristen smiling. "Bye, mom." said Alexis hugging her. "Bye, Natasha." said Kristen. Then Alexis said her goodbyes to Stefan and Nikolas. "Bye, Kristen." said Ned. He put out his hand for her to shake. She smiled and gave him a hug. He was a little surprised. "You're going to be family soon." said Kristen smiling. Alexis saw the scene and smiled lovingly at her mom and fiancee. "We better get going." said Alexis smiling. He smiled at Kristen and the two left. Then she turned to Stefan. "Stefan, why did you try to keep him away from her? He's good for her because she finally has someone other than our family to let her guard down." said Kristen. "I'll go upstairs." said Nikolas. "Stay." said Stefan. Nikolas sat down in a chair. "Well, mother, I thought he was using her to get to Cassadine Industries and I had to act." said Stefan. "So you sabotaged ELQ and sent him away, pinning it on your sister. I admit that was clever and I know she did the same thing to you." said Kristen. "We hated each other's love interests." said Stefan. "I can see that, but do you regret the death of Katherine?" asked Kristen. "In a way. It was a desperate attempt by my sister to kill Helena while I was making a desperate attempt to save my relationship." said Stefan. "Admit it." said Kristen. "Admit what?" asked Stefan. "You love Bobbie." said Kristen. He didn't say anything and Nikolas just sat there listening intently. "Just like your sister. You can never admit that you love someone. Was that what you were afraid of? That Alexis was finally grown up and could make decsions on her own especially when it came to love. I can see why he might have been using her, but after almost two years and two break-ups they're still standing strong. They're going to have a child together and get married. My son, you have to let her make her decsions. Wasn't there a time after Laura where you invited love in?" asked Kristen. "Yes." said Stefan. "And where is she now?" asked Kristen. He didn't answer her. He got up and left the house. "Is he angry? Where's he going?" asked Nikolas. "He's not angry except at himself. He's going to see the only other woman he ever loved besides your mother." said Kristen. |

Ned and Alexis waited for Lois to open the door. "I really like this area. It's so beautiful and secluded." said Alexis. "Yeah, it's wonderful." said Ned. Then the door opened and it was Brooke. "Hey, Brooke." said Alexis smiling. "Where's mommy?" asked Ned. "Hey, Lexie and daddy. Mommy is in the kitchen." said Brooke. Ned opened the screen door and they walked in. Lois walked into the room. "Hi! Ned, I need help with some boxes from the U-Haul, can you bring them in for me?" asked Lois. "Sure." said Ned. He went back outside and Alexis sat down on the couch. "I heard coffee isn't good for the baby so I made some tea." said Lois. "What kind?" asked Alexis. "Rasberry." said Lois. "My favorite." said Alexis. "Mine too." said Lois smiling. Brooke sat down next to Alexis and put her hand on Alexis's stomach. Lois went into the kitchen to get the tea. "Has the baby kicked yet?" asked Brooke. "Not yet." said Alexis smiling. "What did you name her?" asked Brooke. Lois came back in with the tea and set them on the coffee table. Ned came in with a box. "Where do you want this?" asked Ned. "Put it by the door. In fact just leave all the boxes by the door." said Lois. He nodded his head and went back outside. "What's the baby's name?" Brooke asked again. "We named her Anastasia Athena Emma." said Alexis smiling. "That's a long name, but I'm glad you used Emma." said Brooke. Ned had come back in with another heavy box. "What are in these things?" asked Ned. "You'll find out soon enough." said Lois smiling. Then he went back outside to unload the rest of the boxes. "I like the baby's name." said Lois. "Thank you. I like how you named Brooke. That was very creative and original." said Alexis smiling. "Yeah, well, it was better than calling her Ginger." said Lois smiling. The two women laughed and Brooke just watched curiously. "So how do you like it so far?" asked Alexis. "Brenda was a great decorator and the scenery is gorgeous." said Lois. "We're thinking of moving to a place like this." said Alexis. "There's a house for sale next door to me." said Lois. "Are you sure?" asked Alexis. "Yeah, but a lot of people have been looking at it. So I'd suggest you two look at it right away and see if you'd like to buy it." said Lois. "I think that would be nice and we would be closer to you so that you can invite me over or I can invite you over." said Alexis. "I'd like that." said Lois. They sipped their tea as Brooke tugged on Alexis's arm. "Lexie, will you play with me and mommy in the backyard?" asked Brooke. "Why don't we wait for daddy." said Lois. "Okay." said Brooke. "Why don't you color a picture for Lexie and daddy while you wait." said Lois. "Okay." said Brooke smiling. She ran upstairs to her room to color. |
