Livia Tasia and Ares, God of War

I was born in Thessaly, Greece in 150 A.D. on a
night that a thousand stars fell from the sky.

My mother, Callianessa, saw it as an omen from
the geat Goddess Artemis and promised to teach
me to follow Her path.

As I grew older I was taught to ride and
train horses, to fish and to hunt... all
skills that were worthy of any legendary
female warrior. Even though my father
Quintus Livius Tasius, did not approve, he
was proud nonetheless.

Breaking with common practices, my father
allowed me to train the cavalry horses in
his post under his watchful eye.

My Grandmother often speaks of the tribes of
female only warriors and has had a hand in my
training, again, depsite my father's objection.

"To temper Might with Mercy"
is the law she follows and has passed on to me.
