7-7 vs the TEN
and other Conundrums

Why on earth would you not hit the 7-7 vs. TEN ?

Examine the following feature carefully, that is the effect of removal of cards, in this case 7's, on the prospect of hitting the 14 in this case, the 7-7, Here it is clear that the only card that can help you is the 7 but 2 of 4 are in you hand so it becomes even less probable that you will hit one or the other. More over againist the Dealer's TEN, given the likelihood the he has another TEN, well some one's done the numbers and the results in single deck are not good better, to stand. True here but it applies as well in other cases, as the various 9 vs the 2, in single deck and the various 12's vs the 4. Changes with respects to the cards in your hand, in Single Deck disappears in 6-Deck. Of the 20 hands where changes in the count mean something, See Table in accordance with the Bayes Theory of conditional Probabilities the frequencies should be multiplied by their frequencies so the odds againist grow exponentially, we can figure out the most frequent ones first, of which of course the 14 is indeed one of the most easily understood if indeed infrequent.
