Ace-Ace vs Ace

Insure, Split, or Hit

I assume that you think that you'd like to split A-A after the Insurance is cleared, the most you have to beat is 20, but unfortunately you only get one card. The count matters at the juncture more than one would think. where you must make the decision of either risk yet another bet at +4 Insurance count or take your chances, that the cards, (one on each Ace), are large ones. Where as if you hit at true count -4, see count, you don't have to risk another bet and you can hit and hit and you get two soft hands by hitting the two over the soft-soft-12. In that you can get two soft hand before the hard hand comes up. Isn't the limitation of getting one card on eleven a reason to risk less and have more opportunities to hit, enough of a reason, not to Split. After all Basic Strategy dictates the you only hit the eleven againist the Dealer's Ace.
