Pluto is it Really Neptune's Moon?
This is a surprising thing in that the orbital period of Pluto, 248.8 yrs. is exactly 1.5 times that of Neptune"s, 164.78 yrs, as well Pluto at it's closest is closer than Neptune. Hence one could evoke the idea of Pluto being a moon of Neptune in that, as it works out, 3 orbits of Neptune are equal to 2 orbits of Pluto. Making the Orbital period of Pluto around Neptune some 497.6 years. three orbits of Neptune about the Sun, two orbits of Pluto. Can you imagine an event that would make Pluto orbit so eccentric that it now orbits the Sun as well as Neptune? With an orbital diameter of 80 a.u. 7,383,000,000 miles. The largest orbit in the solar system. Firstly: Let us show how unimposing Pluto is in the scheme of things that orbit the sun.

Being only the fourteenth largest object in the solar system. And smaller than the all true planets. Hence one could imagine that the formation of Pluto would have been by a differing mechanism then that of the other major planets. As, indeed evidence of it's density etc. now presents itself as being true. On February 19,1999 Pluto ended the twenty year period where it orbits the sun inside the orbit of Neptune.
