Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water...........

Released: June 12, 1978

Two scuba divers investigate the sunken wreck of the Orca (the boat from the first movie). They goof off and the cello music kicks in seconds before a new shark show up and eats them. The new shark does not eat their underwater camera, which snaps a few pictures during the attack.

Meanwhile, Martin Brody is still Amity's Police Chief. Summer season arrives as the new shark lurks off the beach. Brody's son Mike is now a rebellious teen who likes to go sailing. Hmmm, I wonder shall that come into the story later? The shark chases a woman on waterskis and catches her, so that shark is motherf***in fast. The ski boat's driver doesn't see the attack, but finally notices she is missing a skier. She stops to look around and of course the shark starts chewing on her boat. This girl is really dumb--she gets gasoline all over her then shoots a flare at the shark. The sparks set her, the shark, and the boat on fire. The shark has the good sense to swim off, but not before getting a rad scar on its face. The boat and the dumb girl go boom.

With a fiery boating accident and two missing divers, Brody gets mighty suspicious. A lovey-dovey teen couple stumble across the remains of an orca. An orca with a few bites taken out of it.

Something's been eating at Shamu

Brody calls in a shark expert woman who checks it out, but does not believe that a shark is involved. The charred corpse of the explosion victim washes up, and the divers' underwater camera is found. After the film is developed, Brody sees a picture that seems to be a close-up of a shark's eye. He shows it to the town council but they don't see anything.

Brody goes on Shark Watch on the beach and sees a dark shape moving among the swimmers. He starts shooting at it, oblivious to the screaming and running bathers. It turns out to be just bluefish, but last time I checked bluefish were no picnic either. This gets Brody fired.

The Very Next Day, Mike and little brother Sean go sailing with a bunch of Mike's teenage friends. The shark spooks some scuba divers, one of whom rises way too fast and gets the bends. As the sailboats head out to sea, the shark follows them.

The lovey-dovey couple drop anchor and make out, until the shark hits the boat and the guy, Eddie, falls out. The shark gets him, but for some reason gives the girl no trouble. The shark catches up with the others and most of their boats get disabled. Brody goes to sea and finds the messed up Tina, who screams about a shark.

The shark has a helicopter for lunch

A helicopter shows up to save the kids, but the shark eats it and also eats one of the girls, Marge. They are in danger of being swept out to the open sea, but instead land at Cable Junction, a small island featuring a power station. The shark comes back again and one girl named Jackie screams so much that I wish they would just throw her in so the shark can have her and she'll shut up.

Will someone please shut her up?

Brody gets there and tricks the shark into biting down on a power cable. Jaws II is electrocuted and it looks like the Fourth of July. Brody rounds everyone up and they head home.
