Did You Know?

Jaws 2 was not filmed in New England. It was shot in Florida, hence the sugary white sand and emerald waves (I sound like a travel brochure).

Jaws 3 was of course filmed on location at Sea World of Florida, which actually has those undersea tunnels seen in the movie.

Jaws 3 was originally supposed to be a comedy, called "Jaws 3-People 0". That's funny, I thought it was a comedy!

There are two different versions of Jaws: The Revenge. The U.S. theatrical version had Jake dying at the end. The TV version is the same. But the overseas, video, and premium cable version had a shot of Jake in Jaws's grip, then coming to the surface after the shark's death and surviving. The film did so badly in the U.S. that they changed the ending and added some more gore supposedly.

During the 90's, there were rumors of a fifth Jaws movie, about a school of great whites following a naval ship. It was partly true. July 1999 saw the release of Deep Blue Sea, a thriller about a floating laboratory besieged by a pack of advanced Mako sharks.

Sometimes as in the original Jaws, footage of live great whites was inserted into the movies. This occurs in Jaws 2 and also in Jaws 3 , when Mike and Kathryn are being chased by the baby shark. Try and spot it.
