After the clean up at the mall, Xander was really tired. He was tired in
so many was. He was tired of Cordelia's whining, he was tired of picking
up demon's body parts, tired of those stupid sprinkler systems that left
him soaking wet, Buffy being non Buffy like, and Willow being upset at
him. The latter bothering him the most.

When he got home that night, he went straight for the country music. It
all really started with that Oz guy. What kind of name is Oz anyway? She
brought him- a non-slayerette to the party! At least he and Cordy were
sorta going together- in a non-going together way- and she was a
slayerette! And then she had the nerve to brag about him later about how
cool he was about the vampire thing. As far as Xander was concerned,
that wasn't normal. "Actually it explains a lot." Why couldn't he have
maybe run away like a girl or something?

Then the real reason to why Willow was so upset at him. She caught them
making out in the stacks. Why did it hurt him so much to remember the
look on her face when she caught them? Why did she run away? Why did he
feel like he betrayed her, and why did he run after her with fear in his
heart like he was losing her?

Then she started overreacting. The whole I-Hate-Cordelia-Club thing was
a little too much. Well, actually she didn't make that up. He was
treasurer. He spent the club dues of 25 cents on a grape soda. But
still! Couldn't she just understand his weird ways?

He has gross emotional problems. What the hell is that supposed to mean?
That he has a lot? Or that they were disgusting. The thought of Willow
thinking that about him made him sick to his stomach. Funny, he didn't
think that kissing Cordelia was gross. Actually he kind of liked it. He
thinks that Cordelia likes it too. They both like it a lot.

He would rather be with someone that he hates instead of her? Huh? She
didn't feel that way about him. She couldn't, they are best friends. Is
it true that he would rather make out with Cordelia than love Willow?

Then after she came back, she said those horrible words. "Things are not
okay between us." His heart sank to the floor when she said them. Sorta
like when she turned him down for the dance. She even looked differently
at him. And was she crying before? Then Angel came and he almost hurt
her. Thank God he didn't. Or no matter what Buffy or anyone said, he
  would have killed him.

After that horrible experience, he thought that he should get his plan
into action, before the world ends. It hurt him to say, "I think I might
need Cordelia for this one." Of all times, he wanted to make a mends
with her, not hurt her. Again, the look on her face. Then comes, "I'll
get Oz. He has a van." Why did that make him jealous?

When he got back to the van at the military complex, he almost expected
them to be making out or something. You cand never trust lead
guitarists. Thank goodness they weren't. He would have probaly kicked
Oz's ass. She did have a dreamy look on her face. What did they talk
  about?

En route to the mall, the tension was thick. Buffy rode with Giles, and
the four in the van didn't talk at all. Afther the Judge was defeated by
Buffy with her new toy, they rode home with Oz and Willow. But before
they left, Giles said, "Good thinking." Definitly a moment he would
never forget. Then Oz offered to take them home. He went out of his way
to drop them off first. Looking back at the van Xander caught Willow
staring at Oz. He said something, and she laughed that laugh of hers
that Xander always thought was just for him.

Why was Xander hurt so much by Willow's words? Was there something
there? Well, he would just have to see what would happen with Willow and
Oz, and with himself and Cordelia. He hoped against all hope that if the
time comes and the world was dying, Willow would forgive him, and laugh
  that laugh for him.
