Growlie had snuck into James' room that last time someone had brought him food. They sat on the bed as James talked to him. "Oh, Growlie. What am I going to do?" he asked hopelessly. "Growl!" Growlie answered. "No, no." James shook his head, "I'm tired of running. That's why Jessie and I left Team Rocket." He sighed at the thought of his love, "Oh, how I miss her." Just then James' parents burst in again. "Alright, son!" his mother announced, "The time has come!" "It's off to the wedding!" his father stated. "Alright, let's go," James said weakly. His mom and dad dropped the ropes that had planned to tie him up in when he tried to run. Noticing their shock, "At least I'll have some dignity walking in there," he muttered. "Glad to your finally acting like a man, son." his father commented. "Yeah, that sure is something coming from you!" James shot back. He leaned down and pet Growlie goodbye. "I'll see you later, Growlie. If I'm lucky." James slowly walked out of the room, with his parents following close behind.
James stood at the alter, dressed in his tuxedo. He didn't look happy, he didn't even look sad. He just stood there, staring blankly into oblivion, trying to resign himself to his fate. Suddenly the bride's march began to play. Everyone turned to see Jezebel walk down the aisle. Jezebel walked down the isle in the most beautiful wedding gown money could buy. James turned to look at her as she stepped up next to him. He looked at her, with that veil on it reminded him of the time that Jessie had dressed up as that harem girl. Just thinking of her made him smile to himself. James lifted the veil back at the bidding of the minister. She was beautiful, James thought, and she looked so much like Jessie it pained him. It had only been but a few days and he missed her so much. He wondered what they done with her. Noticing that he was deep in thought, she looked at him. She had an idea and acted on it. She reached over and took his hand. As she squeezed, James felt something sharp in his palm. He looked down at to inspect what had pricked him. When he opened his hand he found that around her wrist was a gold bracelet with a gold rose hanging from it. "Jessie?" James thought. He looked up to her eyes. Seeing that he had made the connection, she smiled and winked. The two looked into each other's eyes, both overcome by emotion. "Do you take this man as your husband?" the Minster broke in. Jessie looked at the minister. James was still staring at her, he wanted to see what she would do. She continued to look, then lowered her head smiled, "I do." "Do you take this woman as your wife?" the minister then asked James. James looked quickly at the man. He looked back at Jessie. She was still facing the minister, not wanting to pressure him. James' parents leaned forward in anticipation, wondering what his answer would be. James looked back Jessie again, having made up his mind, "I do." Jessie turned her head to look at him. As James turned to look at her, he noticed she had tears in her eyes. "I now pronounce you husband and wife!" the minister announced. James lifted his hands up to her face, and wiped away the tears. "You may now kiss the bride!" They both smiled at one another. Their lips met and were swept up in a world all their own.
In the front row James' mom and dad sat. "Well, it seems our James has finally come around to Jezebel!" his mother commented. His father nodded, "He certainly has!" "They certainly are making a moment of it, aren't they?" his mother said. "Dear, if I had a girl like that," his father told her, "I'd be on her like butter on potatoes!" She narrows her eyes and gives him a inquisitive look. "What?" he shrugged. Jessie and James are still engrossed in their kiss. So the guests decide to start throwing the rose petals and releasing doves, creating a beautiful picturesque memory for the ages.
