The sun was shining, Jessie was laying out by the pool in her two piece purple swimsuit. "God, this place is gorgeous!" Jessie thought to herself. She watched as Growlie ran past. He and James were playing fetch. James was wearing swim trunks and a tank top. He looked so happy. Jessie smiled, she had never thought it was possible to be this happy, but she was glad that it was. Growlie now had the ball and would not surrender it to James. "Come on, Growlie!" James protested. "Growl!" "Here, you have to give it to me so I can throw it!" he insisted. "Growl!" he barked again. James went for the ball, but Growlie gave chased, James went after him. They went around in circles for a while, they went faster and faster until they almost reached the pool. Growlie stopped just in time by the water's edge. James did not, and he fell in. Jessie sat up as she heard his splash. At that moment she couldn't remember whether or not he knew how to swim. Concerned, she darted over and knelt by the side of the pool. He still hadn't surfaced. "James?" As soon as she had called his name, he popped up. Jessie sat back on her legs, and let out a sigh of relief. James snapped his head towards Growlie. "Damn it, Growlie!" he yelled. He wasn't really mad, just upset that he had fallen in with his clothes on. "Growl!" the pup Pokemon replied. Jessie laughed a little. James looked at her. "So?" he asked menacingly, "You think it's funny, huh?" He reached up and grabbed her arms. She screamed, in between laughing, for him to stop but he pulled her in with him.
After splashing around together for a while, they decided to get out of the water. James got out first and helped Jessie out. He grabbed a towel for her and wrapped it around her. She was a little cold, so James quickly rubbed his hands up and down her arms. He then put his arms around her. Noticing that he was still wet and cold, Jessie grabbed a towel and wrapped it around his shoulders. He smiled and hugged her close, so she would have the warmth of both towels. There they stood, rocking back and forth ever so slightly. They looked around the yard they both shared. James' Victorybell was sleeping in the garden. Arbok and Growlie were playing catch with Wheezing. Jessie smiled, James kissed her on the head, and they embraced each other even tighter.
