After Hours Written by Rocket Gal
This story is rated: Um, I'd say PG13. It's part of a set that started out as PG13 so I guess that's the way it should be. Before reading this story you must have read: If Only, Hanging On, Who's That Cute Doctor?, A Change for the Bitter, Just Like Old Times, Sorta, and Butch and Cassidy Catastrophe, Salon Rocket Reopened, Malicious Medical, and Tied Down
It was the end of another work day at Salon Rocket and Cassidy was getting ready to go home. "You two ready to go?" she called back to Jessie and James. Jessie walked towards her and the door. "Yeah," she answered, grabbing her coat. "Actually," James interrupted, "We have to finish up something." "Oh," Cassidy commented. "Uh, yeah," Jessie agreed, confused about what James was talking about, "I guess you guys go on home, we'll lock up." "You sure?" Cassidy asked with a raised eyebrow. "Yeah, it's fine," Jessie assured her, "See you tomorrow." "Ok," Cassidy conceded, "Bye." She and Meowth walked out the door, leaving Jessie and James alone.
Seeing that they were now gone, Jessie turned to her partner. "So what's the problem?" she asked. "What?" James asked, a bit confused. "Why are we still here?" she asked again, as she walked over to him. "Oh, it's nothing bad," he told her, wrapping his arms around her waist. "Well, could we go home then?" she asked, "I'm really tired. And I have to wash my hair and -" "I know," James interrupted as kissed her on the cheek, "That's why we're here." "What do you mean?" she asked turning to face him. "I know you said washing your hair is such a hassle," he began. "Yeah, with my iv," she agreed, "I can't bend my arm up to put in the shampoo. I can only use one hand and it gets really tired, really quick." "Right. So sit down here," he said as he sat her down in a shampoo chair. "What are you doing?" Jessie laughed. "I'm gonna wash your hair," he replied. "No way!" she smiled. "Come on, Jess. You said you were going to let me help you," he reminded. "Ok," she sighed, "Just be careful." "Ok," he promised, "Lean back."
Jessie slowly leaned her head back into the specialized sink, and James turned on the water. As he began to wet her hair, Jessie closed her eyes and smiled. The warm water felt so nice. James took a bottle of shampoo in his hand and squeezed out some of the contents, then set the bottle back down. He began to massage it into her long red hair. He could have finished much quicker, but just didn't want to. Finally, he was through. He rinsed her hair and applied conditioner. "Ok!" he announced. "Done so soon?" she asked. "Afraid so," James smiled to her, "Come on, let's dry you off."
James lead Jessie over to a styling chair and she sat down. He then grabbed a blow dryer and a brush and began to go to work. "Tada!" James exclaimed proudly, after a little while. "Finished?" she asked, smiling. "Yep," he affirmed, spinning her to look in the mirror. Jessie looked at the reflection. "Oh....But it's not styled," she said looking at her straight hair with her trademark curl noticeably absent. "I know," James said fluffing up her long locks, "But I've never seen you with your hair down before." "What do you think?" she questioned. "Your beautiful, no matter what you do," he said leaning his head over her shoulder. "You're sweet," she said, giving him a small kiss on the cheek before she stood up from the chair. "You're gorgeous," James returned. Jessie smiled and kissed him more extensively then before. Pulling herself away, "Come on. Let's go home."
