If any one word can be asked about Kate Reilly, it would be "why?" The girl stayed for one season - two-thirds of one season at that) and aside from playing straight man to Reggie, only had about two storylines in the whole thing.

Kate wasn't popular when she asked him to the Sadie Hawkins dance, and a huge fight broke out between Jesse and Nicole's date, school sleaze, Joe Douglas. She later did the decent thing and told Nicole that she couldn't even get to first base with Jesse because he was still in love with Nicole. Nicole thanked her with the smiling warning "If you go near Jesse again, I'll rip your arms off."

The next big role for Kate was in Contacts where we discovered that she was having a secret romance with Chris Donlon. (withholding comment for all I am worth-j) She wanted him to be "the first" (biting my tongue) but before they got around to it, Chris got offered a screen test which gave him a bit of a swelled head. (you mean people noticed a difference? ) Kate couldn't handle the "new" Chris and by the time he came to his senses, she had lost interest.
