KIRRILY WHITE

Kirrily White was born and raised in Sydney. She liked classical ballet, piano and drama. Kirrily was always involved in school plays and concerts and even at primary school she would write, direct and perform in plays. She loved going to pantomimes and plays and from a young age knew that she wanted to be an actress. When she was 14 she was involved in a youth opera production at Sydney Opera House. The group of about 70 teenagers wrote and performed 'Winds Of The Solstice'. By the end of high school Kirrily was still keen on acting but was also considering her options. She enrolled in an Arts degree at Sydney University and studied English, Linguistics, Philosophy and Australian Literature although the thing she really focused on in uni was a play with the Drama Society. In 1993 she was accepted in to WAAPA . Kirrily graduated in 1996 and before the end of the year she was booked for a television commercial and then the 1997 Sydney Theatre Company production of 'Mongrels'. Throughout 1997 she continued to audition and got work in commercials and guest roles on Murder Call and Children's Hospital. She appeared in Sydney Theatre Company's Private Lives' the same time All Saints started shooting. Kirrily belives nursing can be a thankless job and it is worth making heros out of people who do it.

STEPHANIE MARKHAM

Stephanie Markham is a registered nurse and Team Leader of Ward 17. She is second in charge to Terri and is sharp, intelligent and good at motavating. She is sometimes resented for her ideas on motavating. Steph knew she wanted to be a nurse when she was just 7 years old. She took the right subjects in school and did a nursing degree in college. She came to All Saints Hospital as soon as she graduated She chose to work in the General Ward as she liked the variety of experience and she was also able to keep her options open. Steph was getting restless as she wanted to think of herself as competent as the doctor so she decided to go back to study and become one. This put a strain on her marriage to Ben, a paramedic. Ben was also putting a huge load of pressure on her to start a family. An unplanned pregnancy was news for Ben and Steph an early miscarriage was a great, yet shameful, relief for her. Their mixed reactions to the miscarraige, and Ben's own problems, put a major strain on the marraige and propelled her towards her friend Luke. Not wanting children comes from her childhood as her father left when she was young and she was heartbroken as were her mother and brother. Because of this Steph is always cautious things in life and creates very high standards for herself. She is not judgemental of the choices other people make butshe may come across taking the high moral ground and the 'I Told You So' attitude. The reality of it is that her attitde reflects her own discomfort at risk-taking. Steph is a really good nurse and is always there for her patients or ready to lend a hand in a time of need to a friend or anyone else.
