Diablo's Origins
The story originates on a world like no other. A planet, half
light, half dark. But the difference in the two semi-parts on this
world are far more deeper than that.
For centuries the beings living on the two opposite side had
been feuding. The darker side was infested with creatures resembling
demons. In their dark domain, merely heated by the volcanoes and
fires, and lighted by random flashes of lighting, the beings were
considered immoral and savage...and even evil. They banded together
and formed a sort of tribe with only one law: Hate and destroy all
the light dwellers.
On the lighter side of the crowded planet, lived beings whom
seem much more sophisticated, and more noble than their darker
neighbors. Unlike they night dwellers... these beings were much more
friendlier looking. Some even glowed. They, for years, have been
defending their half of the planet from the invaders. They had built
a wall in between the two opposite lands, though this seemed to help
little.
Some visitors have called this place an example, a symbol of
the ever lasting struggle between the good, and the evil. And this is
only a small idea of what this strange world was like.

A day like any other for this planet, a night dweller was
preparing his small army for an attack on their foes.
Though, the demons had no true monarch, they did have role
models, strong warriors to look up to.
This particular night dweller was a strong, yet lean fellow. He
had sharp claws and pointed teeth. He resembled a devil in many
ways...which was exactly what his name, Diablo meant...."devil".
Diablo wore a type of battery pack on his back that could allow
him give and take electric charges upon n contact....his favorite
weapon. On this night he would go after the king of the light
dwellers.
Time drew near and the creatures of darkness began to scale the
wall.
On the other side, the light dwellers had sensed the demons
were up to something and were preparing to defend their home. They
saw the nasty night dwellers pouring down the wall in crowds, like
water over a fall. As the demons advanced, the weapons were raised.
The people of the lighter side ran about in attempt to chase the
demon army away.
On the other side, Diablo had stayed behind the crowd to make
sure there were no stragglers. He climbed the wall and glared down at
the battle that his troops started, and he grinned proudly with his
hands the his hips.
Then suddenly a flash of lighting hit the ground on the dark
side. Diablo turned his head to see a volcano bursting....then the
ground started to shake violently. Diablo fell to his knees as the
wall began to give way. He didn’t scream or cry for help... it wasn’t
the demon thing to do.
Moments later, the earth started to crack open. The opening in
the ground grew bigger and deeper by the seconds. It start where the
volcano was and ran right under the great wall. Suddenly the wall
spilt in two, and Diablo held to the edge for dear life.
“Here, poor soul. Let me thee.”
Diablo looked up, and saw a being reaching his hand to him. It
was a light dweller! He was glowing brilliantly, and Diablo squinted
from the brightness.
Diablo hissed and grabbed the being’s hand. He gained a better
gripe of the wall then with a slight cackle, he pulled the light
dweller off its feet and thrusted him into the deep cracks below.
Grinning, Diablo started to climb back upward when he felt a heavy
jurk on his tall.
“LET GO!” Diablo growled at the light dweller hanging on
him.
“Please sir!” cried the being, “don’t let me die!”
Diablo didn’t have the heart to listen to this pathetic
creature.
“AAAHH!” Diablo was starting to fall again. Quickly, he slide
down the wall. The
light dweller onto a ledge and watched his rival fall. Diablo
clinched his teeth, and his grip of the wall loosened. He could hear
the clanging of medal weapons not too far away.
Giving up, he let go of the wall and fell into the cracks that
seemed to be a bottomless pit. Before Diablo could close his eyes...a
flash of light surrounded his body.
“What the...?!”
With zapping sounds and flashes Diablo closed his
eyes....sensing something bad was about to occur. But when he
re-opened them a few seconds later....he was floating in the middle
of complete darkness. Nothingness surrounded him.
Then without warning, he started falling again. Under his feet
he saw a world coming closer and closer to him. With a quick maneuver
he fell into a large tree-like plant.
“Oof!”
Slowly, he climbed down and took a look around. A new
world......very different
from where he had came from. He heard footsteps, and ducked,
quickly, behind the tree.
“C’mon Willie! Creeker! Hondo! Get your brothers and get over
here! Bil ‘n’ Appie need tune ups! Can’t do it alone. It’ll be
fun!”
“YAY!”
“Okay dadoo!”
Hm. A king, perhaps? Well....he was wearing a crown....
“Oh yeah! Tell Ed I finished his house. Our world is almost
done! Though...I can’t help thinking dat I forgot something......oh
well!”
Diablo watched the king shrug and walk away with a number of
shorter beings following him closely behind. When they were out of
sight Diablo stepped out thinking curiously about this king...and his
world. Maybe he could catch on of those hoop-headed creatures and get
a few answers from them. And, perhaps, he could gain a world of his
own. Diablo grinned evilly at his newly thought outplan. It was worth
a try...
