A Montage~From Here To Eternity

I did everything I could to get you here tonight
Without telling you why.......

John pulled his black jeep up to an old warehouse, miles outside of Salem. He pulled into a parking space and stopped the car, turning off the ignition. He looked over at his girlfriend and her hazel eyes shimmered with excitement but also with a gleam of annoyance.

"John, you do know I had a huge business dinner tonight, right? If I get fired, I swear..."

"You won't get fired, I swear to you. You are head of psychiatrics, I'm sure if you miss one measly little dinner they'd understand, I mean you're allowed to have a life outside that hospital.."

"I know," she said turning her head and smiling.

"But there is one thing that has been bothering me?"

"Oh yeah, what's that?"

"Why we're here." A mysterious smile broke out on John's face and Marlena groaned. "Oh no, whenever you get that look you're up to something, so what is it?"

"Now that is a surprise my dear. Let's go." He got out of the car and walked to her side of the car and opened the door. Her blonde hair was pulled up into a pony tail and she wore a pair of blue jeans, that clung to her legs. Her white tank top fit perfectly on the top half of her body, making it tight about her breasts. She got out of the car and watched as John pulled a blindfold from his pants pocket.

"Don't tell me I have to wear this thing.." Marlena said pointing to the blindfold.

"Aw, you do." John said teasing her. He tied it around her eyes, lifting up her golden hair as he did. He took her hand and let her into a door, that was lit with many candles. He led her over to a hair in the far right corner of the room and looked at her intensifying beauty.

Now girl if you only would Please hold out your hand....

"John, what are you doing to me," she laughed.

"Hold out your hand for me."

"Why?"

"Just do it."

"Take off my blindfold first, please," Marlena whined.

"No way, hold out your hand." She sighed and reluctantly put her left hand out.

Just close your eyes
I've been dying to ask you one burning question
Will you be mine?....

He kissed her hand and moved his hands up to her eyes where he untied the blindfold.

"Now I'll take this off if you promise to keep your eyes closed." A smile formed on her lips and she giggled.

"I promise." He took it off and saw her eyes closed and reached into his jacket pocket for something. He pulled out a velvet black box and opened it, revealing a 14 karat diamond engagement ring. He slipped it onto her finger and watched her mouth form in surprise and tears run down her face.

"Is this what I think it is," she asked, wiping the tears that were falling.

"Um, if you're thinking it's an engagement ring, the answer is no, I know you're mood ring broke, so I bought you a new one."

Marlena face fell and John laughed. "Of course it's an engagement ring, open your eyes," he said softly. He watched as her hazel eyes opened and saw the tears start to fall faster and faster.

From here to eternity I'm asking you to share your life with me Now and forever I guarantee I'll always stay by your side I promise my love to you I'm willing and able and ready to Whatever you need I am here for you I will always be from here to eternity.....

"Marlena, after all we have been through, I can finally say openly and honestly how much I love you. I took you to an old warehouse because it is special to me. On all the nights when I was away from you, I would come here to think....about my future, about my life, but mostly about you. I would fall asleep here, thinking of your magnifying beauty, your amazing eyes that have captivated my soul, and I would hold a single picture of you, and let that picture know everything I felt...how much I loved you, how I would do anything for you...and now that I have you I will do anything in my power to keep you mine. I will love you for all of eternity, for the rest of my life and life after death...Marlena Evans, will you please be mine and marry me?" John asked dropping onto one knee. He wiped the tears from her eyes and then wiped the moist water droplets that fell from his own eyes.

I saved a year for this ring
I can't wait to see how it looks on your hand

I will be yours......

"I'd love to marry you," she whispered, letting her tears flow. He took the ring out of the box and slipped it on her ring finger.

"Marlena, I know that sometimes, I can be very pig headed. Always needing to get my way, but when it comes to you, I put you over anything. I was so selfish making you choose who you wanted all those years ago, pressuring you to do something, that wasn't fair to you. I've learned a lot from my mistakes, and I know that I would do anything for you, I'd give my world to, as long as you were happy, and I love you more than anything in this entire world."learned a lot from my > mistakes, and I know that I would do anything for > you, I'd give my world to, > as long as you were happy, and I love you more than> anything in this entire world."

Marlena wrapped her arms strongly around his neck and he felt her hot tears, melt onto his shirt.

"I'm happy, you pressured me all those times, because it made me realize how much I truly love you and no matter who or what> comes into my life, you will always be the number one man in it. Now it's my turn to promise you...I promise you that for the rest of my life, as long as I will live, I will be there for you, to guide you in whatever you need, to hold you, to love you, and to cherish you. And the night I become Mrs. John Black, will not only be the happiest day of my life but the day I know if I> died right then and there, I'd be the happiest woman alive because I> finally got you as my husband. I love you John and I can't wait to be your wife."

She kissed him, surprising him by her full force. When he realized what was happening he fought back, and picked her up off the chair, lying her carefully on the ground, proving that he'd be there for her, forever and for all of eternity.

I will always be from here to eternity.....
