Gabrielle Amazonian Bard
When Gabrielle first was saved from Draco's men by Xena, she knew she just had to travel with the warrior. So, she left her mother, father, sister, and fiance in Poteidaia for a life of adventure with the Warrior Princess. Gabrielle began to record their journeys on "The Xena Scrolls." After learning that traveling with Xena called for a method of defense, Gabrielle soon fought with the use of a staff given to her by Ephiny of the Amazons, as well as the right right of a cast and the Amazon Princess title. Later, Gabrielle reunuited with her fiance, Perdicas, and wed him. The day after, he was slaughtered by Callisto. When Gabrielle revisited the Amazons, she was named queen. After journeying to Brittainia, Gabrielle was impregnated by the demon, Dahak. She sent her daughter, Hope, away in a casket in fear Xena would kill it, believing it was evil. Thus, Hope returned and murdered Xena's son, shattering Xena and Gabrielle's friendship. They would later regain eachother's trust only to re-encounter Hope, fully grown and a spitting-image of her mother. In a battle with Hope, Gabrielle plunged in an abyss in an attempt to save Xena's life. She was believed to be dead, but actually survived the fall. Then, her and Xena ventured to India, where Gabrielle encountered Eli and discovered the "way of love." As a result, she thrusted her staff into the river and vowed never to use violence as a solution again. That is until, she battled and killed many Roman soldiers to allow Xena to attempt to escape after paralyzation. Her and Xena were captured and crucified to die. However in a glimmer of light, her soul still lives...
