Luke, Laura, and Lucky continued to hold each other.  Tears were streaming
down all of their faces.  After a few minutes they pull away.

Luara:  (looking into Lucky's eyes)  Are you really here?

Lucky: (places his hand on her face)  Yes Mom I'm here

Luke:  I missed you so much cowboy

Lucky:  I missed you too Dad

Liz is still standing near the door holding Lacey.

Liz:  Is there room for two more?

The three of them turn around

Laura:  Oh my god

Laura walked over to Liz and hugged her then she looked at Lacey the little
girl she last saw when she was only a day old.

Laura:  Oh Liz she got so big

Laura looked at lacey, she had her father's piercing blue eyes and her
mother's brown curls

LIz:  Lacey Lynne this is your grandma

Liz handed her to laura

Laura:  hi sweetie

Lucky walked over to Liz and put his arm around her and then laura walked
over to Luke with lacey

Luke:  hey little Spencer, I'm your grandpa.  (looks up at Lucky) You did
good son, she is beautiful just like her mother.

Lucky:  that she is but I am sure she also very tired

Laura:  can we put her down?

Liz:  of course

Luke and Laura take Lacey upstairs and Liz and Lucky go over to the couch and
sit down.

Lucky:  they are going to spoil her rotten

Liz:  thats ok, they have two years to make up for

Lucky:  as much as I loved being with you in Puerto Rico, it is so nice to be
home.

Liz:  I know.  Oh Lucky I have to call Gram or better yet I should go home to
see her.  Why dont I go and you can spend some time with your parents.  Just
let lacey sleep and Gram can see her later.

Lucky:  ok but please come back soon

Liz:  I will

Liz and Lucky kiss and then Liz leaves to go home.  Luke and Laura come back
downstairs

Laura:  does she always fall asleep so easily?

Lucky:  always

Luke:  Hey where did Liz go

Lucky:  she went to see Audrey, she will bacl later.  So tell me are you
two....

Luke:  yes we are back together

Lucky:  Good, that is a nice welcome home present

Luke:  Well enough about us tell us about you and Liz, when the wedding?

CHAPTER 28

Liz arrived at her old house and walked up to the front door.  She knew
Audrey was home because her car was in the driveway.  Liz opened the door and
walked in.

Liz:  hello.....Gram you home?

Aydrey came running out of the kitchen

Aydrey:  Elizabeth

Liz:  Hi gram (Liz ran into her grandmother's arms.)

Audrey:  Oh my baby you're home

Liz:  I missed you so much

Audrey:  me too darling..come sit down.....How are you when did you get in?

Liz:  I am fine and we got in about an hour ago.

Audrey:  Where is Lucky and my great granddaughter?

Liz:  They are at Luke and Luara's.  Lacey has already fallen asleep and I
did not want to wake her, but you can see her later.

Audrey:  it is so nice to have you home dear.  Are you moving back in?

Liz:  oh well with all the excitment of coming home Lucky and I did not even
talk about that.  I dont know where we are going to live

Audrey:  We?

Liz:  Gram we have a child together I mean of course we are going to find a
place of our own.

Aydrey:  but you are not even married

Liz:  no not by law, but gram I dont want to be away from Lucky and I dont
want lacey to be away from her father.

Audrey:  of course forgive me dear.

Liz:  well Let me get back to the Spencer house so Luckt and I can decide
what we are doing.  How about we stop back later with lacey.

Audrey:  that would be wondeful

Liz hugged Audrey and left the hhouse to go back to Lucky

CHAPTER 29

Lucky looked at his father

Lucky: The wedding?  Dad Elizabeth and I havent talked about that

Luke:  what you've lived together for the last two years, you have a baby
together, and it never came up?

Lucky:  No i guess we were just consentrating on staying safe.

Luke:  well you are safe now so.....

Lucky:  so what?

Luke: so ask her

Lucky:  Dad we still a find aplace of our own and I dont even have a ring.

Laura:  Yes you do?

Lucky:  what?

Luara:  wiat here.

Laura went upstairs and a few minutes later she came back down and handed
Lucky a black box

Lucky: Mom what is this?

Laura:  Open it

Lucky opened the box and it was a small diamond on a gold band Lucky just
staired at it.

Lucky: Mom its beautiful

Laura:  it was your grandmothers and she always wanted you to have it to give
to your bride.

Lucky:  Thank you

Lucky went over to hug is mother and Liz came through the door.  Lucky quick
put the ring in his pocket.

Liz:  Hello everyone.  Did I interrupt something.

Luke:  not at all darlin....Well Now that we have you both here your mother
and I have a big surprize for you.

Lucky:  dad what did you do.

Laura:  why donr you take them Luke I want to stay here with my granddaughter.

Luke:  Ok well then lets go.

Liz:  Ok

Luke, Liz, and Lucky all got in Lukes caddy and drove a few minutes.  The
pulled up to an apartment building.

Lucky:  Dad what are we doing here

Luke:  man you ask to many questions....come on lets go.

The hree walked into the building and got on the elevator and went up to the
7th floor.  When they got off the elevator.  The turned the cornor and were
standing infront of a door with a big red ribbon on it.  Luke opend the door
and the three walked in.  It was fully furnished and decorated.

Liz:  wow this is beautiful

Lucky: i'll say....whos is i?

Luke:  Yours

Lucky: what?

Luke:  It is to you guys from me and your mother.  We knew you did noy have a
place so we got one for you.  We had it for awhile and your mother had it
furnished and there is a fully equiped nuersey upstairs for Lacey.

Liz:  Luke i dont what to say.

Lucky:  dad we have to pay you back

Luke:  having you back in my life is all the payment I need.  Welcome Home

Liz and Lucky both hugged Luke.

Lucky:  Umm dad could you give us a few munits

Luke:  oh sure

Luke walked into the other room

Liz:  I cant believe this place

Lucky:  I know umm Elizabeth I have something to ask you.

CHAPTER 30

Lucky led Liz over to the couch and they sat down next to each other.

Lucky:  Umm well we never talked about this, but I guess now is as good as
ever.  Elizabeth I love you (slides down to the floor on his knee)  Will you
do me the honor is becoming my wife?  Will you marry me?

Lucky:  I have waited two years to hear you ask me that question.....so yes i
will amrry you.

Liz joines Lucky on the floor and kisses him.  Lucky them pulls ot the box
from his pocket and hands it to Liz.

Liz:  Lucky when did you have time to do this?

Lucky:  I didn't my mom gave it to me.  it was my grandmothers and she wanted
me to have it to give to my bride.

Liz:  its beautiful

Lucky takes the ring out of the box, but before he puts ir oon her finger, he
takes the other ring he gave her for christmas three years ago and places it
on her other hand.  The he takes the diamond and outs it on her finger.

Lucky:  This ring is my new promise.

Lucky pulls Liz to him and they kiss passionatly.  luke comes back in the
room and clears his thraot.

Luke:  well you to look happy, anything I should know about?

Lucky and Liz stand up.

Lucky: Well i just asked Elizabeth to marry me and she said yes.

Luke:  That is wnderful and it is about time.  Wecome to the family

Luke huggs Liz

Liz:  thanks its a nice place to be.

CHAPTER 31

Liz, Lucky, and luke return to the Spencer house and Liz and Lucky thank
Laura for the apartments and rell her about their engagement.  Lacey is up
from her nap and Liz and Lucky tsle her to Audrey's

They all arrive at Audrreys and Lacey meets her great grandmother.  Liz and
Lucky share thier plans with Audrey and surprizingly enough Audrey is very
for them.  Audrey offers to watch Lacey for the night so she can spend time
with her and so Liz and Lucky can enjoy thier first night in thier new home.

Liz and Lucky arrived at their new aoartment.  Lucky opend the door and
picked Liz up in his arms and carried her over the threshold.

Liz:  Lucky what are you dong.

Lucky:  carring my bride over the threshold.

Liz:  you are too sweet.

Liz kissed Lucky and he walks through the door and closes it useing his foot
which makes Liz laugh.  Lucky takes her stright up to the bedroom and tosses
her on the bed and gets on top of her kissing her fiercly.

Liz:  wow you dont waist anytime

Lucky:  Nope

EPILOGE:

Liz and Lucky and thier family celebrated lacey's second birthday.

Three months later Liz and Lucky were married in a small but beautiful
ceremony.  All of their family and friends were there.  Nikolas was Lucky's
best man and Emily was Liz's maid of honor.  Luke walked Liz down the isle.

Liz and Lucky were finially happy and able to live in peace and in safety.
They remained together today and forever.
