Memories Revisited - Chapter 18

The next morning came and Liz opened her eyes as she was bathed in the sunlight.. She looked around the room and then turned over to find Lucky still asleep on his back. He looked so peaceful as he slept. Liz watched as his chest raised and fell as he breathed. He was so beautiful and she was so thankful to this man he lay beside her.

Liz needed him again so she started kissing his neck and then moved down to his chest where she once again took one of Lucky's nipples in her mouth and gently bit it. Lucky tied to act as if he was still sleeping, but it did not work. He opened his eyes and grabbed Liz pulling her up to meet his lips for a wet and passionate kiss. Liz was completely lost in his kiss as Lucky got on top of her. "Good morning angel."

"You know what would make this a really good morning?"

"What?"

"If you make love to me again."

"Your wish is my command."

Lucky captured Liz's lips with his again and the two lovers became one again. After many love making sessions, Liz and Lucky got showered and dressed. They sat across from each other as they had their coffee at the breakfast table. Lucky took Liz's hand and looked deep in her eyes. "Come sit with me in the other room, I have to ask you something."

Lucky pulled Liz up from the chair and led into the living room. Lucky sat down on the couch and pulled Liz on his lap. "Lucky what's going on?"

"Well, I have been thinking about something for a long time, but I wanted to make sure to find the right time. What I am trying to say Elizabeth is I love you so much and I want to spend the rest of my life with you and our children." Tears started to form in Lucky's eyes as he continued to speak. "We have been threw so much and we lost so much time, but somehow we found each other again. I don't want miss another second, I don't want to ever be a part from you again. You are my whole life. I guess what I am trying to ask you is….will you marry me Elizabeth?"

Liz's eyes filled with tears as she kissed Lucky with all the passion she had inside of her. As much as Lucky wanted to keep kissing her he needed an answer. "Um was that a yes?"

Liz laughed at his question. "Of course it was a yes. Oh Lucky there is nothing I want more than to marry you and give our children a real and safe family."

"We will have that Elizabeth, I promise you." Lucky reached into his pocket and pulled out a black velvet box.

He slowly opened the box to reveal a medium sized diamond solitaire with smaller diamonds on each side. Liz gasped when she saw the ring. "Lucky it's beautiful."

"Not as beautiful as you."

Liz smiled warmly at Lucky as he removed the ring from the box and placed it on Liz's small finger. Liz and Lucky kissed again, both ready to reclaim what they had lost, ready to be together.
