"We have to tell my parents!"
"No! I heard what happened with Kenny and Billy O'Connell, no way!" said John.
"We could invite them to dinner," said Kimberly.
"Jimmy will shoot me!" said Jon.
"Then I'll tell them," said Kimberly.
"So he can find out, and shoot me the next day?" asked Jon.
"He won't shoot you!" said Kimberly, "Trust me."
"Okay, what will you tell him?" asked Jon.
"I'll think of something," said Kimberly, "You know, you look cute when you're upset!"
"I do?" asked Jon. They kissed once, then twice.
"Come to think of it you're always cute," said Kimberly.
"Why, thank you," said Jon, "You're not too bad yourself.".
Kimberly smiled. She had been dating Jon for two weeks now. She would come home on the weekends, and a few nights during the week he would come to Madison. No one ever suspected them as a couple. Kimberly was in law school, so visiting Jon for some "advice" wasn't unusual.
"What are you thinking about?" asked Jon.
"You, well, us," Kimberly said.
"You are gorgeous," said Jon.
Kimberly smiled, again. Jon thought of how beautiful, and successful Kimberly was. It was all like a dream.
Sue woke up, and wandered over to the window. Her golden hair tumbled over her shoulder, as she gazed into the moonlight. She didn't want an abortion, but knew she couldn't have another child. If only Carter would understand. She glanced over at him, sleeping peacefully.
"I love you," murmered Sue.
"I love you, too," said Carter.
"Oh Carter, what happened to us?" asked Sue.
"I don't know," said Carter, "But I do know I love you, and it's your choice if you want an abortion, and I'll support you."
"Carter! That's what I've been waiting to here," said Sue.
"I just don't want to lose you," said Carter.
Oh Carter, I would never give you up," said Sue.
"I get so scared," said Carter.
"Carter, I will never leave you, never," said Sue. She wrapped her arms around, and kissed him on the cheek.
The telephone at the Brock house rang.
"Hello," said Jimmy Brock.
"Hi Daddy," said Kimberly.
"Hi Kimberly," said Jimmy.
"I'll be coming home for a few days," said Kimberly.
"Oh great!" said Jimmy.
"I'll see you at four pm, " said Kimberly.
"Okay," said Jimmy.
"Bye, I love you," said Kimberly.
"Bye, " said Jimmy, "Jill, Zach, Kimberly's coming home for a few days."
"Good," said Jill.
"Cool," said Zach, now fourteen.
Little did they now, Kimberly's visit would bring war to the peacful household.
Max slipped into the baby's room, where little Eric slept peacefully. He looks so beautiful, thought Max, I don't know what I'd do without him. Hi fingers curled around into a ball.
"He looks like me, doesn't he?" asked Kenny.
"Oh, you scared me," said Max.
"I'm sorry," said Kenny, pulling her close.
"Yeah, he looks like you, he's got your nose," said Max.
"I think he has your eyes," said Kenny.
"Really," said Max, trying to see the resemblance.
"You're beautiful," said Kenny.
"What?" asked Max.
"You heard me," said Kenny.
"Well, thanks," said Max.
"He's cute, too, must have gotten that from you," said Kenny.
"Well it helps to have such a handsome Daddy," said Max.
Kenny kissed her.
"Hi Daddy," said Kim, "Sorry, I'm late."
"No problem, honey," said Jimmy.
"Well, I hope we're eating early, because I'm going to a movie with Jon, tonight," said Kimberly.
"What do you mean, 'movie with Jon'?" asked Jimmy, cautiously.
"Well, we're going on a date," said Kimberly.
"Like a date-date?" asked Jimmy.
"Yeah, a date-" Kim started.
"Hi Kim," said Jill, "What are you talking about?" Seeing the look on Jimmy's face she had realized that something was going on.
"She is going on a date with Jon Littleton," said Jimmy, in an accusing tone.
"Neat," said Jill.
"NEAT? NEAT?" Jimmy shouted, "He is TEN years older than her!"
"Well, Kim's an adult, and that's that not too much," said Jill.
"She is not going out with Jon," said Jimmy, "You are not going out with Jon!"
"Daddy, I am an adult, if you think you're going to tell me what to do-" Kimberly started.
"I AM! As long as you stay under my roof, you live by my room," said Jon.
"That's just what it is- staying -not living!" said Kimberly.
"I can't believe you're doing this," said Jimmy.
"Jimmy," said Jill, "Calm down."
"I won't! She is dating the DA!" said Jimmy.
"Fine, I'll leave," said Kimberly.
"Good! GO!" said Jimmy.
"No, now stop it!" said Jill.
Kimberly picked up her bags, and walked out. They heard her start the car, and drive away.
"Jimmy," said Jill.
"What?" asked Jimmy.
"You had better figure out "what"!" said Jill, and she stormed out.
"Whoa," said Zach, who'd been evesdropping.
Kimberly walked into Jon's office.
"Kimberly, what's up? I wasn't suppose to pick you up until 7:00," said Jon.
"Daddy threw me out," said Kimberly. She began to cry as Jon put his arms around her.
"Because of us?" asked Jon.
"Yes," sobbed Kim.
"It's okay," soothed Jon.
"I'm sorry," said Kim, regaining her composure, "It's just he's never thrown me out before."
"That's okay you can cry on my shoulder anytime," said Jon.
"Thanks, I'll get a hotel room, and then we'll go to the movie," said Kimberly. She quickly called the hotel, and then they left for the movie.
Carter and Sue walked into Jill's office.
"Hi guys," said Jill.
"Hello Jill," said Carter.
"What can I do for you?" asked Jill.
"Do you know any abortion specialist in Madison?" asked Sue.
"What?" asked Jill.
"Abortion specialists in-" started Sue.
"I heard you, but I thought you two were againist abortion," said Jill.
"We changed our minds, due to the circumstances," said Carter.
"But, why?" asked Jill.
"Well, I've had a c-section two times," said Sue, "It's hard on me."
"I know, but are you sure?" asked Jill.
"Yes," said Carter, looking straight into Jill's eyes.
"Okay," said Jill, "Here you go." She handed them a card.
"Thanks, Jill," said Sue.
"Can you keep this privite?" asked Carter.
"Of course," said Jill.
"Even from Jimmy," said Carter.
"Of course," said Jill, now indignant.
"Thanks," said Carter. They walked out of the office.
Jimmy knocked on the hotel room door.
"Can I come in?" he asked, quietly.
"Sure," said Kimberly.
"When I said I wanted you to go, I didn't mean it," said Jimmy.
"I know," said Kimberly.
"I- it's just I sometimes forget your not my little girl anymore, or even seventeen," said Jimmy.
"I'll always be your little girl, but you can't tell me what to do!" said Kimerly, "I love you, and I might make some stupid decisions, but this wasn't one of them."
"I know," said Jimmy, "I know." They hugged, and Jimmy kissed Kimberly's forehead.
Carter waited outside the operating room where Sue was getting the abortion. The kids had stayed with Sue's mom, and they had gone to Madison. Sue was due out any minute. He wondered what he had done? How could he let Sue do this? Well, he would be strong, and face the problem. He would never let Sue know about his true feelings.
